Brand New at Detailing

Hello everyone. My name is Goren, I just opened a mobile auto detailing business based in Van Nuys, CA. I was at the 3D Seminar held on 6/25/11 and learned a lot from the best in the business like Barry Theal, and David Fermani. I just wanted to get as much practice and information before I start offering my services to the public. I am willing to volunteer my time and work for free at an actual shop if that's what it takes. So if you are a shop owner in Southern California area and could use an extra hand at no cost to you please contact me.

I am open to any other suggestion, comments, advice, anything that will give me an upper hand and succeed in this business. I have had some guidance from a former detail shop owner but only as far as the business end of things. Any suggestion please

Hey Goren! Glad you made it by. I suggest you start a thread in the regional section. Or, start one in any of the other forums about any other questions you might have about the detailing business or products/processes.
 
Just do your best. Be honest. Go the extra mile to make sure if that customer wants really nice stripes or that scratch removed that you don't forget about it. I used to give air fresheners (though I had VERY limited clientele), and found it was a very subjective thing but wanted to be thoughtful.



Find some products you like and perfect them. Oh... and keep extra backing plates incase one decides to grenade.
