Bounce, but not in the dryer

An e-mail sent to me had quite a few uses listed for Bounce that are a little out of the ordinary.

Disclaimer! This is from the internet so I have no idea as to the value of any of it.

I'm only posting a few that seem to be at least somewhat auto detailing related. Some are old news, but might be of interest to a few people.

1. To freshen the air in your car - Place a sheet of Bounce under the front seat.
2. Collect cat hair. Rubbing the area with a sheet of Bounce will magnetically attract all the lose hairs.
3. Wet a Bounce sheet, hose down your car, and wipe lovebugs off easily with the wet Bounce.
4. Golfers put a Bounce sheet in their back pocket to keep the bees away.
5. It repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.
6. The US Postal service sent out a message to all letter carriers to put a sheet of Bounce in their uniform pockets to keep yellow-jackets away.
7. Use them all the time when playing baseball and soccer. I use it when I am working outside. It really works. The insects just veer around you.

When I store (meaning don't drive) my 72 GS in the winter months, I always put 3-4 sheets in the car. It helps keeps out the rodents and it does keep the car smelling nice when I open it up it the spring time.

One time I was working when the air was VERY dry. I kept getting static pick-up on my Santa Fe's plastic bumpers. I ran a Bounce sheet very lightly over the bumper; no more zap. :bigups

I will start stashing them under the seats. Great idea.

Had never heard of the Anti-Insekt (play on words) function of dryer sheets. I wonder how and if it really works.

Dryer sheets under the seats as an air freshener idea has been around for a while. I don't do it just because I feel it's too much like leaving trash on the floor. Lots of spray options, like Steve's air freshener spray (and doesn't cleaning with NL leave a nice fruity fragrance behind :))or various Febreze products (I just noticed a version labeled for Auto in the automotive aisles), or one of my favorites X-O.
