Bought Stripper Scent from Chemical Guys so i posted my review....

the scent is good but it doesn't last but my point is that CG kept on deleting my review because i gave it a 3 stars and they only want 5 stars on the review of their product. bias... i updated my review on the stripper scent and gave it 1 star and i stated that they kept on removing my review since i only gave a 3 star, im surprise that my review is still on the website today and was not remove.

STRIPPER SCENT PREMIUM ODOR NEUTRALIZER AND AIR FRESHENER SMELL OF SUCCESS

I noticed that too! I wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw them. I believe they are crooked! There are far better businesses out there. Stay away from Chemical Guys!!!!!!!!

Lots of places remove negative reviews (not saying that's right, just not uncommon). I've ordered from CG several times and everything has been fine.

Yeah, you don't want your car to smell like a strip club with the wife around. lol She would be asking questions.

...leading you to wonder how she knows what a strip club smells like. ;)

See? Just like the real thing in that regard too!

Exactly...if you leave a $50 bill on the dash the scent will "linger" longer. Perhaps due to a chemical reaction between the ink the currency (especially $50s) is printed with and the main ingredient of the scent?

I don't get all the negative crap directed toward CG, I've never had a bad product or buying experience from them. Same guys will swear how great Adams or Poorboys stuff is and never figure it out.

I'm with you.

Sometimes its not about saving money for me... I would rather spend more money on someone elses product than give my money to the shady cats at CG. Its the point not the money to me.

said guys who talk bad about adams would rather pay 1/10th of adam's price and deal with whatever issues that arise, because lets face it this economy we are in isnt the best.

i think adams is ok at best, just like i think cg is ok at best, I used to like alot of their stuff but now im finding better and cheaper products...except the stripper scent, short of going to a strip club and paying some chick to sit in my car for 20 minutes, its as good as its going to get

got some this morning, I actually really like the smell. It's difficult to describe...

Image you were to spray yourself with some nice musky cologne, smoke a strawberry primetime, and rub yourself against a stripper on the stage for a couple minutes, then sniff her. That's what it smells like.

isn't it considered as false advertising when they say their products last for months? and last long?

lol.... scam...

Jeez, I should know better than get into noob threads - but i'm bored, so here goes - CG ie Warner Chemicals makes most of that crap ya'll sit around and smile so smugley about, and any if you're half normal, any smell starts to be unrecogizable after a few days. Huh? you say, yeah - go on vacation and spend a couple weeks, get back and and you can smell your house. Well, not really, it always smelled like that, it's just you get use to it.

Its no wonder I don't post here often, because tools like JuneBug have nothing better to do than put down people that haven't been on the forum long. Way to help someone out there pal.

I've stopped buying from CG altogether. I purchased some MFs from them, then reordered the same product, but this time received MFs identical to the orange Vrooms. I took a pic of the towels initially purchased, along with Target orange MFs, and the MFs they sent, and emailed it to CG with a explanatory note. The response was less than kind. Worse, it didn't even address the issues at hand; it was filled with obfuscatory language. No thanks.

BTW, I posted the pics in another thread. If anyone is interested, I can repost here.

I think what Junebug is saying is that Adam's and PB and a couple other products are widely acknowledged as rebadged or slightly re-engineered CG products. A while ago, I thought I had stumbled onto some great big Warner/CG/InstaFinish/etc. conspiracy only to discover that it was fairly common knowledge to the veterans on this forum. Some of it is conjecture, and I've read some of it is confirmed. Take it for what it's worth.

What Jimmy said is true, the whole CG/Warner chemical thing, I wont get into again. However we just spent a week at the beach (hate that place) and got home and could smell the difference in my home vs. the beach. I could smell the wall air fresheners that I hadn't changed in 3 weeks and couldn't smell before I went to the beach....

Smells you get used to...but I dont really buy alot from CG, really only bought that 1 gallon of Ez Creame Glaze, it was okay at best, no filling properties that I noticed and didn't really leave a deeper finish, totally the opposite of what I was reading at the time I bought it.

That said, I still want to try the stripper scent, just not sure if I could explain the fishy smell to the wifey and kids :)

From what I remember a long time ago, when I went to a strip club and talked with a stripper up close. Maybe it was the place that was musty and not her. I was just guessing. :chuckle:
