My neighbohrs are starting to think I'm nuts or OCD. First they see me 'washing' a Porsche with what appears to them to be just water. Then I spray the whole car with stuff and then 10 minutes later I'm out there spraying it with a different bottle of stuff. If I use FX 100 its three sprays. "look at that OCD weirdo, but damn that car is always clean and shiny".

Yeah, that really sucks if if there is a conflict... I really like the ease and results of the ONR but I also really like the ease and the results of the AW...

No doubt about it: FK 425 is a must have for Aquawax.

The first thing I would like to know is where do you live?! ("Last time it was a thick film of soot after a 40 mile drive." Can you even imagine the crud your sucking in your lungs every time you breath?

It's hard to believe that you would have that kind of shoot or pollution sticking to your car only when you use AW. There has got to be some kind of chemical reaction with the AW and whatever is in your area is causing that kind of pollution. Mike
 
Ive never had a problem with dust or soot sticking to my AW finish. AS a matter of fact the car seems to stay cleaner longer. Any roughness in the paint the next day in my case is tree sap, which when I hit it with a wet towel is gone. I live under a lot ot trees, so to keep my car clean and slick I have to clean every day. Poorboys Spray n Wipe workes great for that.
 
I wonder if ONR uses a water sheeting/Gloss enhancer ingredient..I know the tunnel washes do and a day after the wash the paint feels dry & gritty ..the sheeting agent is a cheap silicone polymer and may be reacting with the AW if ONR has this ingredient.



To those having a problem after using a waterless wash product..I would try going over the car with Fast Clean and Shine after the wash...maybe it will clean any residue the waterless wash left on the car. Its a shot in the dark but may work. It seems like people here using the waterless wash are getting the same effects when using AW...so the WW must be leaving something behind...



I never used a WW just a hose wash and never had that problem..in fact the AW on now is going on 9 weeks and still nice..not as slick but beading and glossy...If the damn rain stops here I will do the whole truck in DG products...38 days of rain so far since May 1st..

I've been using ONR (Optimum No Rinse) exclusively on these two for the last 6-7 months and Duragloss AW for the past 4-5 weeks. I have not had any problems with excessive dirt, in fact I have noticed the vehicles seem to stay cleaner. Last week I topped the Mazda with OCW (Optimum Car Wax) and did not notice much difference. I have applied AW to both dry and wet surfaces with no discernible difference noted.

I do not dispute anyone's experiences, but for me ONR and AW get along fine.

My home is right on top of a mountain in the middle of the woods so I know all about your tree sap problem,Lol. I keep a spray bottle of water handy and a MF towel for cleaning off the sap. It sure comes off easy when it's on AW or even just 105. Just spritz with plain water, dry and buff. Mike
