Bought Natty's. First-Time Paste Wax User. 1 Quick Question.

Although I went against most people's advice of "Don't top UPP with anything!" this stuff smells so good, it makes me want to eat it! :D

I opened the lid & depressed my finger in it. Why? I don't know. I guess it was my neanderthalic instinct that made me want to put my finger in it.

Anyway, there was liquid that oozed out of the hole I made. Are you suppose to 'mix' this stuff around, to get the liquid to disappear?

Never heard of this, but then again, never stuck my finger in it :).

How warm is it where you were doing this?

Natty's over anything looks good, so don't worry.

I just had the same thing happened to me. I contacted the vendor and have a replacement coming my way. Paste wax should'nt have liquid. Must be a bad batch.

You had the same thing happen to you with Natty's or another brand? So, the entire jar should be totally solid. Errrrrrrrrr. The top layer was solid, but then as I put my fingy in it became all gooey.

Maybe it's the UPP gods giving me a sign. :p

Thanks for the heads-up mix300.

05Sleeper,

Sounds like you are buying up everything and seeing what you like best! While it's easy to find a process that works really well with a resource like Autopia, it's difficult to find the best for you with so many products.

Well, I will be honest, I did buy some PS, and I am not to thrilled with it so far... I am a bit diasappointed there. But I dohave a love for the slickness ofa sealant, so that coulb be a reason..

Pinnacle Souveran? If you want to get rid of some, maybe we can do a trade in the sample exchange thread. What are you looking for? Don't have any Natty's though.

For silver, I'd probably do a long lasting synthetic, then top with something more liquidy looking to add a final pop. On my titanium car, I've only been using Zaino Z2-Pro with Z8 topper however.

05Sleeper,

Look at My Thread For Detailing A Silver Car. A few different waxes were reccommended, but I'd rather try a cheaper wax first, rather than blowing $70 on something like Souverän.

I'm applying this wax over many coats of UPP (which is known for creating a very slick surface), so it'll depend on what you have on prior to applying the wax.

I just tried some of the Natty's on my side-view mirror. It retained the slickness of UPP and did add some depth.

Just for your reference Offender_Mullet, I can tell you that both Nattys and paste Glaz DO retain the slickness of UPP, but #16 will take some of the slickness away. Just a heads-up so that you don't have to redo your process over if you decided to top it with #16 at sometime in the future.

Well, first of all, I did not spend $70 onit. I spent $40... So that wasn't too bad... Secondly, I am thinking that I may just stay the Sealent route. I loved what WG did for my car, and I am about to try FMJ with some Menzerna FTG as a prep... I willlet you know how I fell about that soon!

White95Max, thanks for the heads up.

I contacted the place where I bought the Natty's and they are replacing it. It'll be another week or so before I can wax it, but I'll finally take some pictures.

I love my car, but I think you guys will be distracted by the girl who'll be in the pictures. :doh

But......I'll still try and concentrate on showing my then 9+ coats of UPP topped-off with a few layers of Natty's. :D

I'm kinda glad the Natty's was a bunk batch, now I can add more UPP! Ahhhhhhhhh.............I have problems. :D

well, if you have photoshop or some other photo editing program, you could always take the girl out of the pictures. but that would be a waste. ;)

yes, you definitely have a problem. you're a waxaholic. at least you've accepted it, just like the rest of us here. :D

i'm just curious, do you notice any differences when adding another layer?

It still retains the same slickness since layer #1, but it definitely has gotten deeper-looking. Or maybe it's just the placebo effect of thinking it's doing something.

My car is metallic. It 'pops' beautifully in the sun. In the shade, the car looks like 1 big mirror.

It can't hurt adding more layers of UPP, but after I put on the Natty's I won't be able to add more UPP, although by then I'll have more than enough layers on.

If you look at My Old Post (scroll down past the Pontiac), that picture of my car was after 2 UPP layers. It looked a lot better in person, mainly because I didn't know how to tweak the digital camera settings & the weather was overcast.

Im planning on the same combo, I have been putting UPP over SG for a week or two. Hoping to give Natty's a chance. Im also a little hesitant sicne UPP is so great alone and so easy to keep layering but it doesnt have the warm look a good paste gives, still its a great look.

Hoping its as nice as I hear. Do you guys get any longevity out of Natty's or is it more along the lines of S100?
