Bought myself a little four banger - few pics

I think it is very sharp. The fact that it's a little screamer with the turbo is icing on the cake.

Good choice. I've liked those cars since they came out. Hopefully, you wont catch the modding bug with it though. Modding a DD can create some serious problems. I'd love to have one of those for a DD. Great color too. Post some detailed pics soon.

Niced looking vehicle!!

Austin is a city with a lot of cars. Interesting that you could not find that in the Houston area. But anything for a road trip....right...?

Everytime I see an engine like that I think that it is placed in the wrong position....LOL!!

I have always liked the looks of the Speed6 a lot. Plus, the price was pretty good too. I really love the interior for its comfort and options, although I do miss the HUD that my Grand Prix has.

I chose this car since it had pretty good performance and a nice "fun to drive" factor in a four door package that sits four adults. Plus, you don't see a lot of them on the road.

I don't know what I have planned as far as modding goes. In its stock form, it is already a full second faster than my GP in the quarter-mile and handles nicer. I'll probably stick to minor mods like a MazdaSpeed CAI and some different springs.

I don't know your driving style but you might want to look into some f/r strut bars, a friend of mine got a front one cheap for his Hyundai and it made a helluva difference in it's handling. A nice 1" drop would give that thing a nice stance too

Look into what your options are as far as exhaust, I'd stick with something quiet (IMO, since it's a 4 banger :) ) yet still gives a performance gain. A good ECM re-tuning, CAI, and a simple muffler-back exhaust set-up will really make you notice the turbo :bigups

I love the color, I think my next car is going to be a dark gray like that. It will be a fun color to detail and will not drive me nuts like black :)

Nice car, but then I am biased because I really like Mazdas. If you do decide to do any mods, hit me up for web sites if interested. There are a bunch out there that I have used in modding my Mazda Protege 5, plus a good community board for tips, tricks and DIY mods.

The car is a spring and shock setup, no struts, so an STB does not apply. However, the suspension is something I may upgrade with new springs and shocks.

I've been on the Mazda6club forums for two years now. I just found mazdas247.com, so I think I have plenty of places to tell me how to spend any mod money. :)

I'm thinking about keeping it simple with a MazdaSpeed CAI and some suspension upgrades. I don't plan on racing this one like I did with my Grand Prix.
