hello all, i have to ask what people are charging for boats these days? is it better to charge by the foot, complete job?? i have a customer who has an RV and a boat for me, the RV i have covered but its been a while since i've done a boat. actually only boats i've done were over a decade ago and we did stereo as well as detail.

details one the boat, fresh water, 21' gel coat, dont know manf. its not to oxidized, but its gel coat and that makes me wary.

I personally do by the foot for standard detailing. I charge 6/ft for wash/wax 12/ft for simple RO polishing/wax and 20/ft for extensive polishing. If they need more than that I just bid it by what I think it will take per hour times my rate/hr

Cheers,
