BMW E60 M5

These were only launched here in the UK on the 19th May and a friend of mine (same guy who's CSL I detailed) took delivery of his on the 21st. It's an absolutley stunning car so he had me detail it to get rid of the inevitable grit-sponge dealer preparation marks.

He asked me if I wanted to as he knows I can drive having done BMW driver training with him (just got back today from the Nordschleife actually!) and also having owned M3s myself - however, the insurance wasn't sorted so I passed. I will be taking a drive in it soon though, once it's fully run in etc.

Everyone keeps raving about the SMG transmissions, but I'm still kinda bummed that there isnt a 6 speed model. I guess I cant really say one way or the other on the SMG because I have yet to drive one, but I am in love with the manual gearboxes that BMW uses. From what I've read, that thing has got an incredibly advanced drivetrain that should make for quite the driving experience......I've never expected any less from any BMW with an M on it though. Sweet car, sweet detail....cheers.
