BMW 120d Sport

BTW, I noticed that there is no badge on the rear of the car., i.e. 120d. I was recently in Europe for a week and noticed only 2 BMWs with badges. Does BMW not but badges on the European cars, or does everyone de-badge them?
"No model designation" (ie. omission of rear model badge/decal) is a no cost option over here.

It's common for a few reasons:

  • Make the car less obvious to thieves/vandalism
  • Disguise the fact that the model is from the low end of the range (obviously not the case here with Ben's)
  • "Debadging" is a trend over here with enthusiasts

As lix says it's quite common to have the badges taken off over here. My car was delivered with the badge still in place (event though I ticked the "delete model designation" option on the order sheet) and I had it taken off simply because I couldn't be bothered to detail around it!
