Bloomington Gold

Most of you probably heard of Bloomington Gold which was in town this past weekend. It wore me out. I detailed 7 Corvettes in just two weeks (in addition to my regular business) I was pleased to hear that 3 of them placed in the show. Most of these owners pay me by the hour since I have me clean the underside, take off the wheels and such. The competition is tough since official "judges" evaluate the cars. It was cool because I was recognized after the winners were announced. One of the cars was trailored to my shop from an owner that heard about me on autopia!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to the forum! :dance  Gary

You sure are lucky. You always seem to get very nice cars. Since I am just starting my business, it seems I always get really dirty family type cars. Oh well I guess I have to start somewhere.

My father-in-law collects vettes and was there on his annual trek. I believe he had 5 certified Bloomington Gold certified this year, and picked another one up for the ride home. I helped prep for the show so I am feeling pretty good about our results.

You gotta be very careful. Don't polish off the annodized finish or you can cause some real issues. I learned that lesson about 4 years ago when he was on his way to the show. When a judge asked him if it was a chromed aftermarket piece, he told them "No, it was an overenthusiatic son-in-law!"

 Never heard of Bloomington Gold before but now I do! Good score on the business and how your work helped them place.
