The read âہ“between the lineâ€Â� analysis I get from reading about the Tube Multicell compound and talking with a couple of tire representatives is that the compound is just to soft which results in a very squirrelly tire even at 55mph on dry/wet pavement with no snow present (especially when new and the tread blocks are much taller). The other compound is needed to give the tire stability under these applications. Additionally it has some durability problems with the heat build up under dry and wet warm weather driving conditions and the other compound is necessary to make the tire more durable, stable and safe.
