I've had trim staining after a rainfall if I apply Blitz to plastic.



For example, if I apply to a plastic rear bumper that has rubber mud flaps, the flaps will stain white with runoff from the Blitz.

I've never experienced anything like that. It will stim black trim if you happen to touch it, so it takes a bit more care than S100, and doesn't seem much worse than many other carnaubas I've used.

Completely agree, the only thing I can think of which would cause this would be somehow not buffing all the excess wax off

I am looking for one a carnauba that has good versatility as well as durability. I am trying to decide between Blitz Wax and 845. One that will look good on any color I use it on. Thanks.
 
They will both last pretty long, with the edge going to Z5Pro for keeping it's freshly applied attributes longer. The advantage to using Collinite is a warmer, deeper appearance and the fact that it doesn't have to be used over perfectly clean paint to work properly, plus it will hide marring pretty well, in my experience.
 
While this was touched on earlier in this thread, I want to expand upon the trim-staining aspect of Blitz vs. Collinite:



Blitz (which *I have never used* so this isn't first-hand...) is known for staining black trim. Collinite on the other hand, and esepcially 845, is trim-friendly. I've used both 845 and 476S on trim many, many times, currently have 845 on the black trim of the Blazer. Not always important, but when it is, well, it is.



Nice to see somebody interested in Blitz though..back when I was just lurking here the hot combo was 3M IHG topped with Blitz.
 
I used to use Blitz when I first started getting interested in detailing cars and using something more than OTC products. While it lives up to all of the appearance and protection hype, I could never get past the trim staining of this product. I would try to be careful and not get any wax on the trim. Everything would look great when I was done. Then two days later, there would be stains all over the place. Once I discovered Meg's 16, I found all the good qualities of Blitz with none of the staining issues. Other products like P21S, Souveran are easier to work with and don't stain but have no where near the durability of 16 or Blitz. I gave the rest of my Blitz can to my neighbor several years ago and haven't looked back since.
