Blackfire Wet Diamond Clean up ?

How do you clean the pads after using Blackfire Wet Diamond ?

It appears to have an oil base that soap doesn't cut through.

I tried Dawn dish soap & laundry soap without much success.

I sprayed my pads with Purple Power APC, let soak 5 minutes, then washed in the sink by hand with Dawn and warm water. I let it soak in the soapy dishwater for about 30 minutes.

When I wrung them out, they were clean.

The APC should cut it.

I have never been able to remove all of the WD residue from an applicator. I have two specific 6.5" Hi Gloss Gold Concours Pads I use on my PC/Flex for application, and while I clean them, they are still stained. Imagine how long it will last on the paint ;)

I designated a brand new Meg's 9006 6.5" pad for Wet Diamond and I CANNOT get it out completely. I've tried several methods and all have been unsuccessful. The pad is probably just stained, which is fine and since it is a dedicated Wet Diamond pad, i'm not really concerned.

I have not used a machine yet to apply, but I've had the same result with my applicator pads, they are stained. No worries, I just use the same ones over.

Ill have to remember that and break out the sharpie when mine gets here. If this stuff is as good as you guys make it out to be ill be using it for a long time

I always use a hand Applicator when putting Blackfire Wet Diamond on any painted surface, I just throw them in the wash and reuse them again with the same product.

Pretty much what I do. I use Blackfire applicators with Blackfire only, but that is why we ship a free appicator with everybody bottle of WD!

OK - I now don't care if Blackfire is a pain to clean out of the pads.

I recently polished my car with Meguiar's M105/M205 combo and waxed with P21s.

It looked great but I was intrigued by the comments on the Blackfire Wet Diamond so I gave it a try.

It looks even better, the results:

Not quite the "Wet-ice over Fire Shine". I do not have any Blackfire Midnight Sun wax so I used P21s. It's two coats of Blackfire Wet Diamond followed up with two coats of P21s.

Jeff,

That looks efn amazing dude! Maybe you can do a seperate write up about it.

I did my brother-in-law's Audi A8 about 10 days ago, he asked if I could leave Wet Diamond behind so he could be another coat on his car. Here we are now 10 days (and 5 coats later) and I still don't have my Wet Diamond.

Bastard!!!!!
