BLACKFIRE Total Polish N Seal - BRAND NEW PRODUCT

Todd , i need a little help .
I used BFTPNS for the first time today, I used it on my C5 Z06 (Torch Red).

The issue i had was marring , I was using my Porter Cable XP set on 5 with a LC CCS 5.5" White pad, firm constant pressure.

Then i switched to a LC CCS 5.5" Orange pad to see if that made things better or worse. I did not notice much difference in the amount of marring.

I got frustrated and did an IPA then switched to Meg M205 and polished the marring marks out.

( Note: ) I had previously corrected the paint to i would say 90% with Meg M105 /M205 .

I have a Red, 2007 Dodge Ram P.U. lined up to do a AIO with the TPNS and look forward to getting it ironed out.

Thank you in advance for any insight.
David

How long where you polishing it?

Looking very forward to this one. BLACKFIRE All N One All Purpose Cleaner will remove stubborn break dust from rubber tires with out browning them.

Very impressive product, Todd. It takes ease of use to a new level.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you have had good experiences with it!

4 cars done with TPnS - no marring whatsoever - i use a GG6 and blue or green LC CCS pad...

Very glad to hear Glen. I think the secret with TPnS is to make sure it is broken down by turning almost completely clear. It will appear to melt into the paint.

How much durability can I get out of this polish? Car kept indoors from 8 to 6 mon to fri... I plan to upkeep the the poly spray and ONR. After I apply the TPnS I plan to apply a coat of the crystal seal too.

I don't like giving durability quotes because they can vary wildly from environment to environment, paint to paint, and the way it is maintained. As a stand alone product, I have witnessed between 2 to 4 months, and have testers who have have gotten almost 5 months out of it. This is with no upkeep.

Since Crystal Seal is SO easy to apply and takes so little time, applying it every month to two months will extend the durability almost indefinitely.

Thanks Todd that does help.

If you work it with a DA (about 4 total passes) and a rotary (maybe 2-3) until it is almost clear, wipe off should be effortless with no visible striping or shadowing what-so-ever.
I have a white truck and did a small test area by hand with a micro fiber towel. I couldn't tell when the TPNS was "almost clear" The blue tint seemed to disappear almost instantly and my concern is how long to work the TPNS with a orbital buffer and polishing pad? It's tough to see on white. Also..the claim is "No buffing" but another forum says to buff immediately. Is it best to buff..do it immediately section by section or can I do the entire truck and then buff if you think buffing is necessary? I'm really confused on this and don't want to end up with strips like I have using the Gloss Enhancing Polish...never got the hang of using that stuff without leaving streaks and am teetering on going back to Optimum Poli-Seal and top with Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection sealant.
Thanks for your help

some of the marketing stuff is not clear, I agree - it dries almost immediately after a bit of rub in to what I call a "Minor haze" meaning not like a wax, but not a gloss...a simple buff off with a MF releases the gloss...

you can do the whole truck and then buff....it's nothing special....try crystal seal afterwards for a great finish.....

It does fill swirls? I really hope not because there is not worse a feeling that seeing the swirls re-appear after investing time. I would rather glaze them away if I get lazy or for betyween polishing sessions. Can you please let me know

thanks
Jeff

I ordered some BF Polish and Seal from AG (had a gift cert) and I will be trying it out soon - possible this upcoming weekend.

Jim, apply a little amount to the pad and work into until it appears almost clear. You can continue to work it for a few more section passes if you wish, then buff off immediately with a microfiber towel.

It has micro fine polishing agents in it, so it does remove swirl marks. But like any wax/sealant/polish (or basically anything we put on paint) it can and will fill in some surface imperfections. You will get some light filling properites, but Total Polish N Seal is not designed for the person looking for a serious paint correction. That is why we offer the BLACKFIRE polishes (as well as a host of other polishes).

My wife used it by hand on her white car and I used it with a porter cable on my burgandy truck. The results on both vehicles were really noticable.

Another great product. Thanks for sharing the reviews and comments!

Agreed! Husband used, wife approved (or the other way, we don't discriminate!)

My TPnS arrived yesterday with those clingy peanuts. I hope to use it this weekend plus probably top with Midnight Sun (also arrived) for a test.
