BLACKFIRE Total Polish N Seal - BRAND NEW PRODUCT

Thanks for answering my first question in detail Todd! I had one more question if you don't mind. I tried the BF AIO on that Tahoe I did, and even on a pad with no cut it wouldn't finish down without marring. the paint was fairly soft so it didn't surprise me, however it made me wonder, does this product use SMAT or DAT abrasives? Jim theorized that it probably uses SMAT which is why it wouldn't finish down perfectly on the soft black paint, and I agreed from the bit I know about the topic. Thanks in advance!

I used it today and I would classify it as a very fine polish, maybe for water spots, etc...it disappears very nicely and offers up a good shine. I like it...

Any thought on using it on glass?

It uses very fine diminishing abrasives, I'm super surprised you got micromarring, what type of pad were you using?

Yes it is a very fine polish, as fine as any abrasive used today. It has more polishing power then gloss enhancing polish but not as much as SRC Finishing Polish.

Use on glass?

also what's the cure time if you want to top it?

Used it again today with my 3403 slow/green pad and got AMAZING results - my new AIO.......

Glad to hear Glen. Its perfectly acceptable for use on glass, although it won't last as long as it would on paint (no sealant will). As far as cure time, it should be fully cured shortly after removal (assuming it is machine applied and worked into the paint. You can even remove it with Polymer Spray for a little additional durability (wipe the section off with Polymer Spray immediately after buffing the section).

I just placed my order along with a bunch or other goodies. This looks like it could be the perfect maintenance type product to use of my vehicles that have already been corrected and just need a little more than GEP to perfect them before a fresh coat of Wet Diamond.

The only thing preventing me from trying this on my clients cars is the fact I cannot use in direct sunlight. Otherwise I would...

I used it yesterday and today in overhead sun - no problems...maybe I'm not supposed to but it worked fine for me...

Another outstanding and informative review Todd. I like the versatility of BLACKFIRE Total Polish N Seal. Whether applied by hand or by machine it appears to perform superbly.

A great tutorial! :bigups

Nice!

I put Blackfire on the top deck of my sister's boat and almost killed a few nephews. Super slick! (won't do that again) The protection lasted a super long time though :D

I have confirmed a 2011 Subaru Outback for this week, it will receive Total Polish & Seal, Wet Diamond APP, and Total Eclipse Tire Gel for a complete all in one review. :yay Too bad I loved the waterless wash RTU so much and used all of it.

Looking forward to the review.
Waterless Wash is so easy to use its hard to not go through a bottle on the quick.

I've had a chance to use Total Polish N Seal twice now. A few observations, and maybe a question or two. I used it both times as a prep/base for Wet Diamond. I found it very easy to use (with a fresh pad). I changed pads when the product no longer disappeared when polishing. Leaving a bit of product behind was not an issue, as it is very easy to remove, (very similar to Wet Diamond). The look left by TPNS is very clean, similar in my opinion to the look of Klasse or Werkstatt.

I used TPNS as a base for Wet Diamond. Not a Wet Diamond thread, but I must say, I forgot what I was missing for a few years.....I have been using Powerlock and a few other sealants. I remember WD being easier to use but it certainly isn't a challenging product. And NOTHING I used in the last few years compares to the look of my car RIGHT NOW. Very warm wet look, and the slickness is ridiculous. I am going to follow up tomorrow with another application.

Todd if you are reading this, how many honda civic sized cars should I expect to clean with a bottle of TPNS? I am concerned I may be using too much product. When moving to a new section, is it necessary to add the same amount of product as the first application?

Cure time, particularly if you work it in until just a light film remains, is near-instantaneous. If you want to extra careful you can wait 1 to 2 hours with no problems.

The amount of polish you use depends on how much cleaning action you are looking for. If you are just doing a quick clean up then use a couple drops and spread over a larger area. If you really looking to clean the paint, shrink your working area down and work in overlapping passes.

I would say that anything more than 1 ounce would be considerable. Also, take a terry towel and run it against the pad. You should be able to clean the pad well enough to continue working with out swapping to a fresh one.

Ya I'm using too much. I'll poor some in to a 2oz bottle I have for the next car and tone it down a bit. I'll let you know how it goes.
