BLACK WOW or ULTIMA Tire and trim guard?

I have some black plastic trim I need to restore and keep looking good.

Its on a 2007 totoya siennas roof racks, Black plastic door trim and medium gray interior trim (cup holder and such), the black cowling under the windshield wipers and mirror housings. All have a medium-fine texture

Also on a 2007 Tacoma with black plastic cladding on the chrome bumper, windhield cowling, mirror housing and door handles.

They are not bad and chalky white yet but are starting to show signs of heading that directions. I'd like something to freshen them up like new and last a couple of weeks.

Also they should not run on the paint after a rain.

I've seen a few suggestions for ULTIMA but haven't seen and photo reviews of this product demonstrating the long lasting nature of it. at $35 a bottle it had better be pretty darn good.

I've had good luck with the Ultima on hard plastic, not so much on tires I prefer Opti-Bond for those. Get the smallest bottle you can, a little goes a long way and lasts for months and it doesn't keep forever. You may want to call and get the mfg. date on what they have in stock. The last bottle I got was over a year old, still worked though. One of my favorites!

black wow might be a better choice for restoring the trim. never used ultima to restore trim but it works well if the trim is in good condition. they are different products black wow is more for restoring and ultima is more for keep it looking good. both work well for what they where meant for. i use black wow for restoring and ultima for keeping it that way. ultima is very good and does not run in the rain or every for that matter. been using ultima on all vehicle trims for over two years now. it one of my favorites. black wow is not one of my favorites but it does work well.

I'll chime in for Black Wow also. It's a bit of a pain to use but it does the job very well and a little goes a long way.

Two applications are needed with a day or two for soaking in between applications.

Follow the directions properly and you'll be very pleased with the results and the results will last a very long time.

I continue to use it on the Escape and if you're familiar with the Escapes, you know they have a ton of black plastic trim. It's a winner for that stuff.

I haven't used the Ultima product but my other Ultima products work very well.

I have both, I don't use Black Wow any more. Ultima TTGP lasts longer.

IMHO neither restores trim because both work for only a limited time. TTGP lasts longer in my experience so that's what I use. I haven't touched Black Wow since I 'discovered' TTGP lasts longer on the hard plastic trim on my '93 C900 Saab. Works well on the rubber on all my cars too. I haven't used TTGP as a tire shine since I have the older version which is reported to not last long on materials which flex constantly. Version 2 is supposed to be much better for tires.

To do a real restoration, you'll need some type of dye or go for the old fashioned method of using boiled linseed oil. I haven't tried either of those but you can find lots of posts on both here at Autopia.org.

How long are TTUGP and and BLACKWOW lasting for you guys on plastic?

Is TTUGP available in anything smaller than 32oz?

As mntioned I don't really need full restoration as the parts look good if I put plain Armorall on them until the sun and or rain have their way with it.

I'd like something to keep that dressed look for longer thant a couple of days. A couple of weeks would be better.

my uttgp lastest 3-4 weeks on my car and trucks. car is outside 24/7 driven daily and washed weekly. several places have the 12oz size (autogeek, amazon, autopia store).
