Black Viper with System One Use

Very nice Toto. How long did it take? How was the paint.

Start-To-Finish was approx. 7 hours. This is significantly less time than the correction time I spent on BMW's. My biggest savings is eliminating the multi-power washings that I have to do with the 3M compounds and glazes. Because this is water based, I rinsed the car with hot water and the hose nozzle. The dust rinsed off which was nice compared to 3M Extra Cut (which dries like concrete splatter LOL).

The paint was very nice for a re-painted car. Obviously, the owner spend some good $$$ on this paint job.

I Googled the System 1 product. I was interested, like most detail freeks will be. It appears to be a pretty good product. I'm sure we all are currently using something as good or better. I had heard of it maybe 8 years ago. $$$$ It was really expensive at that time. I may give it a try. The full kit polish, wax two way pad and adapter retails for about $90. The only way you know for sure is to try it!:think2

That's kind of how I started using this stuff. But, someone could start with just the polish and use their own wool/foam pads...still works. I was more than a little intimidated about using the dual pad because of the chunk of metal in the middle. Once I got the hang of the angle needed, it was a lot more comfortable in use.

i hate bodyshop paint jobs :hairpull: seems like 96% are uncapable of leaving a good hard clear finish. good job on the turn around

looks great, give us a sample of the sytem one polish use with some LC pads?????

I think I've got some LC pads hanging around. I've used it with the Meguiar's Solo wool and foam pads, the System One dual pad (Edge I think), a 3M glaze pad (ok on that one but the Ultrafina pad might finish down even better).

So you are getting good results with just there polish and various pads, not using the system and their pads, that was kinda what I was after, I wanted to try out the polish with out ordering the whole system, how does it compare to the meg solo polish, seems to be the same concept

Clay: you can use your existing wool and foam finish pads with equal results. The Meg's Solo system does not work with cured paints (which is our mainstay). It was designed expressly for fresh paint only. The SYSTEM ONE Polish works great on cured paint and I also understand on new paint as well.

So, there's no comparison when it comes to cured paint. System One does the job. I'll post some pics of the Corvette I did today where someone had left wet sanding marks on 2 places. I removed them in just a few minutes with a wool pad, then polished them as well as the rest of the car.

the results look equal to a trizac reconditioning, amazing depth and wetness, I will have to order some. Looks like a good way to charge more at less time

Looks good to me! I met the owner or 1 today and was talking to him. He owned a Porsche before it and said he got "bit" (i like the little pun there).
