Wow!!! Fantastic work there rick! Looks perfect in those pictures.

How long did you work on it

Thanks Thomas. The entire detail took me about 14 hours to complete with a little help from my brother, so probably a total of 17 man hours.

wow great job how do u like lusso?

how does it compare to other waxs u have used??

This was the fist time I've ever used it. A little goes a long way and it is very easy to apply and remove. I would say it reminds me alot like Souveran, except a whole lot cheaper! Not sure how long it will last? The looks are hard to beat on black.

That car is sick!!!Great job on the detail. Not feelin the hood though, and should have went with the turbo kit instead of the SC.But still a bad *** G

Incredible correction- the pics from the show look insane! May have to pick up some Lusso in the near future thanks to a few of them:cool:

Stunning work, the paint looks crystal clear in the afters. :bow

Great looking car too, although the hood scoop (which appears necessary to clear the lung) doesn't look right on the car, maybe more of a true cowl induction style would look better.

You know if he has had any transmission work so the automatic can handle the extra power?

Thanks everyone!

Scott, it's funny you ask. He did have some transmission problems, but I believe it occured before the supercharger was installed. I don't know if it is built up in any way. I believe the car is currently pushing just over 400hp if I remember correctly.

Excellent clean-up. You are lucky to ave worked on that as a repaint, that Infiniti paint is a witch to work on...

The guy dropped a supercharger on a car with a bad tranny? Not too smart, sounds like the move of a guy that would put a mid-80's Camaro fiberglass hood scoop on a G35, oops!

I had an extremely hard time with this paint, so I think would have rather worked on the factory paint even though it is a witch to work with.

As for the hood scoop, it's not my style, but to each his own!

First of all, very nice work on that G. I am speechless. While I was looking a the first set of pics, I was doubting whether it was a G35 or not with the hood bulge and side vents. Outrageous customization on that for sure. Once again, beautiful detail work...

Jake, the owner made the hood himself and the side vents are from a 2008 Porsche 911 that have been custom fabricated into the quarter panels. He did an excellent job with fit and finish. I was pretty impressed with the work he did.

Its a automatic

*leaves thread crying in hands*

Like cowl hoods on notchbacks only but this is kewl I guess

Great work regarding the detailing..

Great work Rick! The cars that take the longest are the most rewarding for sure!

Do you have any 3M Ultra Fina to try? I am thinking you would not have had any issues w/ the UF finishing down hologram free. At least that has been my experience with it so far. I also like the 3M blue foam pad that is made to work with the UF.
