Black Saleen w/ serious reflections...

Today I detailed my dads Black 03 Saleen. I started off with 3M Fine Cut Rubbing Compund with white pad. Followed that with #9 and then #7. I finished it off with 2 coats of NXT. I have better products like 1z polishes and Souveran didnt use it because my father drives this car 4 times a week and gets pretty dirty. Next week I will post pictures of my dad's pride and joy with Poorboys EX and Souveran.

Also I have a question, how do you guys remove scuff marks off of door panels and the speaker cover?

Thanks

Thanks for the comments guys. As far as the car, no doubt it fast but i was surprised how well it handled. The only con about the car is that the interior kinda cheap, but that goes for most american cars.

I have had good luck with the Woolite solution and the cheap WalMart MF towels on the door scuffs .. for the speaker covers just *very* lightly spritz the area ( you don't want to squirt through to the speaker ) with the solution then aggitate it with a tooth brush and dab it with a drying MF towel.

Thanks for you suggestion, by woollite solution what do you mean? Just mix water and some woollite?

I use 6 parts water to 1 part Woolite and put it in a spray bottle.. Some say this is too suddsy but I think thats from over application. Spritz = *very* light spray.

Honestly, with how nice the paint looks now, EX and Souveran are only going to make very marginal improvements.

Outstanding work! :xyxthumbs

damn.. that car is beautiful!!!

i like 1z reinger (or whatever its called) for cleaning scuff marks and dirty speaker grills... has worked really well in the past for me

really nice job there. to say that is a nice car would be an understatement. then again, i am biased. ;) so is this a supercharged Saleen? and Saleen does change the suspension. and yeah, the interior is kinda cheap, but i think its okay. then again, the interiors of the '94+ stangs did get nicer (and a little better) than the 93-and-earlier stangs.
