Hi All,
I'm hopefully ordering a brand new VW Golf in the next few days, most likely in "Anthracite Gray Metallic" - that's the UK color anyway.
I religiously spend an hour or so each sunday washing the exterior and cleaning the interior of my car. I use either Autoglym or Halfords carwash, and dry with Halford MF towels.
Every month to six weeks I polish and wax the paintwork. I'm not obsessive but I'm happy to spend an hour each weekend and a few hours every X weeks to keep my car clean and new looking.
I'd like some advice on a sensible "regime" to deal with brand new dark metallic paint, not sure if VW paint calls for anything special?
To date I've got a small collection of product including Meguiars #9 and #26, Autoglym Polish, MER polish, Halfords Carwash, and some *really* good wax and cleanser (separate) from a chap called "Wax Wizard" who does handmade Zymol type/quality products.
The only source of Microfiber towels I've found in the UK is Halfords, a large national auto parts chain.
I'm in the UK which limits the stuff we have access to - I remember a year or so ago when I asked the only real option was to import, has this changed or does the UK market still end at "turtle-wax"
TIA
Paul
