Black Porsche CayenneS

Did this detail today, just a few months old and already the car is trashed!

We have had some ugly rain here lately and I think he drove through every puddle throughout south Texas :grinno:

I used my Cyclo with orange pads and OCP first and then white pads with OCP again. Sealed with OCW and Tire Gel on the tires and wheel wells.

I also dressed the exterior trim with Optimums Protectant Plus which worked surprisingly well and also used it on the interior.

Here are th eonly BEFORE pics I took, just to show how filthy it was. Paint had alot of scratches on it but he didn't pay to have them all removed.

Dude I am at Fiesta Texas tomorrow with the kiddies  :woohoo:

Come by Thursday if you can? Or go by Ron's place, I think he should have an extra 32oz laying around. I'll just send it back to Dave and he'll give me send me a replacement.

Nice work, Anthony. Are you an Optimum distributor/dealer?

Not an "official" (tax stuff and all) distributor but I do sell some to a few detailers out this way, like Jay. The plan is that I will be the sole Texas distributor in the very near future and obviously my role on this forum will change. I am waiting on what is going to happen with my website, not sure if we are going to be an Ecommerce or what.

I am not sure if I can post up any more pictures of my work from here on out as that might be seen as "spam" so we'll see what DaveB and/or the mods have to say.

Thanks,

Anthony

Excellent as always, Anthony. I hear ya on the rain too. Maybe not as much as you guys but we've had afternoon storms with heavy rain the last two.

Those Cayennes are really nice, plus for an SUV, they really aren't that large. :)

I don't understand how people can let a brand new vehicle get so dirty.

I guess it keeps you guys in business!

Gorgeous detail, the reflection is..well..gorgeous.

they put Continentals on the Porches??!!

I always thought the Conti's were more of a budget tire? maybe not though.

Great detail, don't like the look of their tire gell. It looked splotchy, maybe it needed to be buffed off. Wish I was in Texas to learn from you masters down there.

I know. I thought the same thing! :scared: Those tires are crappy cheapos, which is unfortunate for an SUV like that, but Continental has put out some very nice tires lately. They're turning into a real competitive company.

Great job on the detail, man. :xyxthumbs Looks great! I think I may have to order some OCP and OCW soon. Between you and Scottwax, it's almost irresistable! :grinno:

I'm surprised there's so much OP on that Cayenne, though. Doesn't look like typical Porsche paint. Oh well, maybe the mass production is to blame...

Good morning all....thanks for the comments :)

Yes the orange peel is pretty bad, seems to be much worse on the SUV's of Porsche rather than the 911's and Boxster's. I had to keep reminding myself that the guy was not paying for an all out paint leveling but man I sure wanted to dive into it :nervous:

The tire gel could of been knocked down but what I forgot to do was re-apply it to the areas on the bottom of the tires to even out the look, my bad.

The durability of the OCW is pretty impressive, at least 2.5 months on a daily driver... but then again who lets their cars go that long?? I did this same Cayenne a few days after the guy bought it to remove some hard water spots on the hood and roof. I applied OCW to it then and it was still beading when I washed it yesterday. So that would be a time frame of maybe 6 weeks.

Thanks guys, adios

this guy loves them and says they are better then Toyos.

He owns this shop

maybe he has a bias? toyos are a pretty crappy tire to, so i don't know. but they can't hold a candle to s03s, s02's, or mx's and I've owned sets of every one of those.

Very nice indeed

Does anyone know about OCW durability yet?

TIA

Full three months over Clearkote's RMG on a daily driven Lexus SC430-washed weekly with QEW, garaged at night, sits in the sun during the day. Light colored car, not sure if it would go that long on a dark paint job but after 3-4 weeks on my own car, it still beads very well and has noticable slickness. My problem is I like applying it after every 2-3 washes so determining durability using my car won't work. ;)
