Belongs to a good friend - actually his wife. Purchased last august. I detailed HIS bmw 745 last saturday (started too late and couldn't take pictures. (goldish color anyways). The bmw was a freeby and after seeing how the bmw came out, (wich was trashed inside) he asked me if I'd try to get the black suv into shape. (had many scretches/paint transfer)Of course I couldn't charge him but they gave me $100/car. (He is very wealthy)

Sorry for not having any befores. I took some after polishing but I guess my hand was shaking. The paint was swirled up everywhere but thank god it wasn't hard at all.

Interior

vacuume

woolite mix on leather/plastic

TOL rug renew (fantastic product!!!!!)

Didn't have time to protect seats.

EXTERIOR

wash (blue coral)

Meg's clay - marred the paint where I was removing paint transfer but I was pretty aggressive with it :D

OP/1200-1800rpm white 7.5 LC pad

OP 1500rpm green lc pad in a few places, but I chose to up the rpm (1800) with the white pad instead - better finish

PB pwc/pc/propel blue pad/speed 4

OCW to remove pwc

FK1 tire shine - wheel wells/tires

I have to say that the swirls came out easier than from any other black car I have worked on. I really love OP - what a great polish. The car is 95% swirl free now. The indentation at the bottom isn't swirl free. I'll be taking care of it from now on. (not often though)

PS: Roof didn't get OP - it was in very good shape. My 7mp canon sucks :( - sorry

Turned out really good! Fun SUV to detail, isn't it? :)

I too was suprised at the relative softness of the Cayenne's paint. I got some marring using PB's 2.5 but none with Optimum Polish even though both seem about as aggressive. Go figure. :nixweiss

I have also noticed how 'black' the paint is, just terrific!

Have not seen your work as of late. I see that you have not lost your touch. The paint looks very black. I mean very very black!!

Thanks guys - this suv was a pleasure to work on. This was the e mail the husband sent me today.

PS: I worked on a 2004 trashed Passat and an 02 black M5 - very hard paint

Thomas, It looks great. Thanks so much. You work miracles in the cleaning department. James
:D
