Black Porsche 997 refreshed by autoLavish

outstanding work from another great MI detailer ...

I lived there last year and met Jake (Jakerooni) and Jason (Deep Gloss) both awesome guys ... too bad I didn't have chance to meet you. Where do you live? I used to live in Clarkston, MI on Sashabaw Rd.

Awesome attention to even the most minor of details there.... However I have to point out 2 no no's LOL.. First you never blurred out the plate and then you posted the VIN number. For customer privacy you should probably go back and get rid of that info. You never know what kind of lurkers we have and that info right there is enough to get a brand new set of keys made up ;)

As far as the detail go TOP NOTCH guys... absolutly awesome.

I saw you said you used 1Z cockpit premium on the leather and dash to clean. I still dont know about this product, does it provide protection to the dash? I know it is lauded as a matte spray but how do you use it and what are your thoughts on it?

I appreciate the good eye Jake, and the issue has been fixed. Thanx for looking out buddy, and thanx for the compliments. Our next post will be an attempt at a "jakerooni style interior detail" ;)

hey there AZ. 1Z Cockpit premium is meant to be a light cleaner. As its not slippery and leaves the best finish of any interior product I've tried, it can be used on anything - steering wheel, petals, doors, center counsel, dash, etc. It has a very light lemon-like smell that is the best of any interior product i've used, and if you want to know if I like it... we just got a 10L bottle in of it. I think that explains our feelings on this wonderful product.

To use - either lightly mist on a surface and wipe off using mf towels, or spray onto a towel and wipe on for harder to reach places / places near glass you don't want overspray. A little goes a long way and you won't use much - but with the individual bottles its a little pricey at $10-11 for a half liter bottle. The 10L jug cost half as much in the long run, hence why we went with it.

You guys have some great talent! Nice work on the Porsche, it looks amazing!

I appreciate it - and I have love for all of us in the North that don't get to post lots of work in the winter :ca

The flex is nice and nimble, but gets HOT HOT HOT. It has a lightweight advantage over many out there, but I'm not a fan of it's heat. I personally really like my Makita. It's not the lightest, but not the heaviest, is easy to handle, and has been a pleasure to use.
