Black paint

I bought a black 2009 f150 over the summer and the paint has a bunch of rids everywhere. I have tried m105, uber compound and total swirl remover with a mf pad and my pc x7424. Most of the scratches have been taken care of. Is there anything else i can do. I also tried lc orange pad with above mentioned products. The paint looks a thousand times better.

Mabye a MF cutting pad and some D300 or M105 but depeniding on how deep they are you may want to leave them.

Can you catch them with your fingernail?

EDIT:

I can't read today

thanks Evan. Some are pretty deep, so i figured i would have to let them be. I will get a mf cutting pad and try with my 105. thanks again

Black Hole would be a good choice to finish up with. Its filling abilities are awesome and would hide the remaining imperfections that you couldn't get out with compound and polish. Apply a sealant over it and your good to go for a while.

Solid advice!

I did do a test spot today with the black hole and it seemed to help a lot. I will do the rest of the truck with it. I got the poor boys sample with the black hole the polish and the sealant. Are the steps compound, polish, black hole then seal. I also heave the megs nxt 2.0, should i put that over the sealant or is that not necessary. Thanks

You have it exactly right. Wait until the next day to apply your wax though. That will give your sealant time to cure.

Trying to keep a car with black paint clean is a full time job

Hey, that's a pretty catchy phrase ^ Wonder why no one else has ever said that before
