Black MAZDASPEED with platinum

Here is a mazdaspeed protege I detailed a few weeks ago. the steps were as follows:



1) DACP by PC and polishing pad



2) #9 swirl remover by PC and polishing pad



3) plainum paint cleaner by hand



4) platinum by PC and finishing pad

Looks great. I saw this post over at ephatch too! Does that balck have any of the metallic that Honda's nighthawk pearl has?

Yes, well it is actually called "black mica" it is a beautiful color. I have to say I like it more than honda's nighthawk or flamenco black pearl It has an almost silver flake in it that makes the paint glow. I have sen a few that are really dirty and they look horrible.



I also think that mazda paint is about as refined as honda. IMO less orange peel than a toyota or some nissans, but no where near the refinement of a BMW(obviously).
