Black Label Synergy reviewed - Shine on a whole new level!!!!

Never been a paste wax fan, but this stuff looks pretty cool.

Todd, how much of the "smiley" mobile has been re-painted? Just curious.

looks interesting but that price is way too high for 6 months minimum protection. Being a paste wax Im sorry its not going to give you any type of scratch protection like a quality coating. This does remind me of the NanoSkin Hydrophobic Wax but for $160 more. Why would someone pick this wax over say like Gtechniq EXO V2 which is about $50? I have EXO V2 on my ride and it still kcking butt after 10 months. Ill stick to what has been proven to work and what I use day in and day out. Nice review though.

I'll tell you why I would buy it.

1. Because I like to wax my cars when I have time - nothing looks as good to me as a just waxed car. And, if this stuff gives great beading for 6 mos I'm happy. I don't know of any waxes, including Collinite, that bead well for 6 mos for me.

2. Application is easier than a coating, although you do get some benefits of a coating. Refreshing it is as easy as applying another coat. Easy.

3. Since I've been quite happy with all the PBMG house products, especially the LSPs, my instinct tells me just to trust that the product is good.

4. Since a coating is likely a 2 year commitment, any polishing you do to correct any defects during that time will likely remove the coating. So, even if you have any coating left in your little 1oz bottle, who knows what the shelf life is once opened? Since this stuff provides like 25+ applications in a tub, it likely lasts years. I'm not a chemist, so I don't know how they do it. But, you can just "re-wax" your car and be done with it.

5.I hate to say it, but 200 bucks really isn't considered squat in the fancy wax market. There are ton of waxes that cost many times this that are just carnauba waxes. So, at least your getting some new technology here and longer life out of the product.

6. For your $50-$100, MOST coating only give you a few applications. While they may last longer than 6 mos, longevity isn't everyone's top priority. This should give you 25+ applications per tub. Also, if you think about it, it's actually CHEAPER than a coating, because you are getting so many applications.

I've finished with clay, polish and coating and my first impression is the car looks fantastic. At the same time the car looks fantastic with whatever I've put on it, including just Souveran. This stuff is either great or I've purchased a little 4 ounce bottle of very expensive placebo. I'll post pics once I've done the wax on top. My understanding is I should wait 24 hours.

One comment is there is NO WAY you could do 15 cars with that little 4 oz bottle. ZERO CHANCE. Making that claim borders on fraud (and I like Pinnacle products). Although the Lamborghini has lots of little nooks and crannys that require a squirt, I've used 1/3 of the bottle on just that one car. Even using that much, I'm not 100% confident I achieved complete coverage because it doesn't spread that far and it's hard to see. It's very different than using a little bit of wax and maintaining a wet pad that spreads a long way.
