Black Label Diamond Paint Coating: Impressions and Updates

Re: Black Label Diamond Paint Coating: Initial Impressions

Thanks for the update. The black label coating system is definetly on my next order. I've only heard good things of it.

Re: Black Label Diamond Paint Coating: Initial Impressions

hey Todd, I was (unsuccessfully) trying to change the title of this thread to "Black Label Diamond Paint Coating: Impressions and Updates"
any way you can help out?

Done. Amazing thread btw. :yourrock

thanks for hooking it up- just want to make sure this product/review gets noticed because I plan to update every couple months

This is the 4 month mark. I had some extra time on my hands earlier this week so I gave the truck a good bath with the Black Label Shampoo, dried it off and pulled into the garage to add a layer of Black Label Coating Booster to the entire vehicle. It didn't need it, heck the truck barely needed a ww towel to dry it with. I have soft water set up for my outside wash line and the coating was still beading and sheeting water off like crazy but I had to put something on there. The truck needed some quality garage time.

I will try to get some beading pics up this weekend but I am going to have to wash it again as the pollen monster has dusted my truck while at work today. It sure cleans off easily though. :)

sure hate that door ding that came with the used truck

nice shot of the metallic in the sun

6 months and a week now since the black label paint coating was applied. It has been washed with the bl shampoo every time except for two times last December when I used onr.

I even parked it under a tree for an afternoon and let it get some sap and pollen on it and let it bake in the sun for about a week. It came off no problem with the bl shampoo and lc wash wedge.
Also I still have yet to notice any marring of the coating from my wash methods.
I gave the paint and glass a wipedown with the bl detailer. Its nice how much slicker just the bl detailer spray makes the coating feel.
Still a huge fan of this stuff.

Still beads like crazy and sheets water off when flooded. Practically dries itself when using the bl shampoo.
People think this truck is brand new but its an 06 with over 100k.

Nice !!!!

I still haven't washed my Tahoe since I put it on

Mother nature has done it for me....... :lol2: (but she's not as good at car washing as I am, so I guess I really should do it.

Excellent updates and the car looks amazing. If I didn't love wax so much I'd coat the car in DP or PBL. Looking great. Great photos too.

Ron I put some dodo juice on top of the coating many months back. Took some crap for it on here but honestly it is just as slick after using the bl coating booster. I'm not saying I'd wax on top of the coating again, but I'm also not ruling out another experimentation down the road I do get bored sometimes.

I love it....these so called impervious coatings require their own specialized soaps and "boosters" to maintain them.

I've applied a $15 dollar bottle of DG 105, run it through 4 months of winter using the local commercial touchless car washes, and it was still going strong the following spring when I finally polished it off during my annual spring spruce up. Never touched it with any special soaps or booster.

Just sayin...

Point taken. And im sure I could do just the same. I just don't.
Onr works and worked just fine. Heck just rinsing it every two days and driving away also worked well for several months.
But I can see and feel the difference. I actually consider a lot of the other products on my shelf more of a monetary waste relatively speaking. This truck is outside 24/7, and its never going to see the garage over my srt.
I dont plan on polishing my truck every summer so this works for me. I still have a black car to wax all my heart and arms desire.
I could just buy all my products at wal mart, or stop cooking my own meals and eat fast food daily. But I dont want to.
Ill happily buy another 8oz bottle of $30 specialized shampoo when the time is ready.
Where I draw the line is a $6 beer at a bar. Now that's robbery. :)

Oh and I forgot to mention my client who washed his entire pbl coated car with dish soap. Probably more than once.
It did not harm the 4 month old coating job. He did total that car a couple months back, however. So I guess the coating doesn't stand up to that. Haha. He was okay though.

Nano ceramic, quartz-based coatings will stand up to pretty much any soap or detail spray you want.. The problem is that the surface will get clogged with whatever ingredients are in the soap, which can temporarily reduce the coatings water beading ability.

With Pinnacle Black Label's soap, boaster and detail spray you a series of products designed to work with coatings (no added sludge to coat over the fine texture a crystallized surface creates)... In addition, the booster features the same nano ingredients to help boost the performance (not that it needs it!).
