Black Jack Black Again

NattyBumppo

Strange name, ain't it?
Has anyone tried this stuff? I just used it for the first time on the black plastic bed rail covers on my F150 and also on the black, hard rubber window molding on the wife's Taurus and my first impression is a good one :up .

The molding on the wife's car was badly weather worn with scattered brown patches and nothing I tried would make it look any better...until now. The molding looks almost new. Obviously I don't know how long this stuff lasts but at least it is already better than anything else I've tried. It has a fairly thick consistency which makes it very easy to work with and hopefully it won't run like others I've used. I applied it with a foam applicator, waited a few minutes and went back over with a dry MF towel. It does have a bit of a gloss to it but not too offensive.

It is supposed to rain over night here so I'll see in the morning if the side of my truck is covered in streaks. If so, back to the drawing board. If not, then I can toss the other stuff I have in the trash.

I would like to know how it holds up. Have tried Meq., Mother's, and EOs back to black products. Meq's new one seems to last through a couple of washes, but that's it.

Natty,

Does it work better than that 303 that somebody gave you to try? And yes................... you know who this is.

BTW, did you catch any?

Likecars,

It has held up very well...easily the longest of any product I've used on exterior trim. It didn't rain the night I applied it so it had a couple of days to fully soak in and get dried by the sun. When I washed a few days later it didn't run or streak and still looked like it was just applied. IMO, the best stuff I've used.

White_F150....good to cya here! As for the 303...I've been using that on the interior panels and window/door weatherstripping. like the UV protection it offers and the fact that it is has a matte finish (very much like Megs #40. I've also been using the 303 on my Extang Tonnuea cover. Works great!
