Black Hole & NR on the Mazda

The Wife's Mazda was filthy from our trip to Houston coupled with a week of rain here in Dallas. Lots of bug splats from the road trip.

Finally got a break in the rain and my schedule (only because it was Saturday) so I detailed the car. Kind of a bad time to detail because the rain was due to start again, it was hot and 99% humidity! And we are leaving for vacation tomorrow so the car will be parked at the airport.

Still, I wanted to get the car clean with a coat of NR to help keep it clean.

Wheels:
Amazing Roll Off
Chem Guys Soap
Assorted brushes
Finished with Chem Guys Bare Bones on wells and tires with PB Bold & Bright

Exterior Cleaning:
PB Bug Squash 3:1
Pinnacle Bug Scrub
PB SSS
Stoners IG
Door Jams – PB Spray & Wipe

Exterior Finish
PB Black Hole – UDM and a Blue LC pad
Natty's Red by hand
Final finish with Clearkote Quik Shine

Interior:
Vacuum and PN Natural Look

I used a new camera my Wife bought and the pictures did not come out well. Plus the weather was overcast with occasional glaring sun. So my pictures, especially after suck.

I am knackered :passout: after this job. It was so hot and humid I was sweating like crazy. The car was so dirty I spent 1.5 hours washing it!

I decided to try Black Hole on it. I honestly could not tell a big difference except for the feel. I did half the hood with BH and I could feel a difference in the two halves, The BH made it feel slick and smooth kind of like after clay. Also there was a light scratch and after BH it was not visible!

Let me know if I did the BH right. I used my UDM on low, 1 – 2 setting and a blue LC pad. I used little to no pressure and went slow. The buffed with a MF.

OOPS! After about 2 weeks of owning the car the SO tried to back out of garage before door was all the way up. Had to repair garage door! On the up side, the combo of BH and NR is so reflective you can see my fat belly!

After BH, NR and Bold & Bright on the tires:

Look, no bug splats and a nice finish from BH and NR. :bigups

No pictures of the interior, it was dirty but cleaned up easily with the shop vac and PB NL. There was a spot on the back seat and I used a little of PB APC diluted 50/50. Some cayrons melted in a cuby hole but a plastic paint scraper + PB APC and some scrubbing cleaned it up nicely.

The after pictures do not do it justice. The combo of BH and NR looks really good. We drove to my in-laws for dinner and it started to pour rain! :wall Oh well, the water beaded up nice!

Looks good !!!
The after shot with BH gives the finish more "depth" (IMHO)
It works best when worked in well.

Man that is a huge improvement only thing I question is the heat, We all know it don't get hot in Texas. :D :rofl

What CG soap did you use and do you like it.
I have never used any of their soap I have been using Duragloss I think it has some polymers in it because it not only cleans but really adds gloss.

Thanks, I agree, I think it does add more depth and it covered up that small scratch and others I'm sure.

I used the EXTREME Body Wash & Synthetic Wax/Gloss Enhancer. It is a good product and seems like a decent value, but I won't buy it again. I prefer other products like PB SS&S. Now, I might buy the Citrus Wash again. I liked that product but it is not something I would use often.
