I was thinking of picking up the halogen work light, but I read some pretty bad reviews on the Sears webpage lol. They say one of the plastic pieces break really easy or something. But I might as well get one since its so cheap, and my brother works for Sears so hopefully he can get me a discount, too.

i have had two of these break on me. the plastic adjusters on the legs are weak and you hv to be careful with them. i keep trading them in for new ones.

Ha! I broke that same plastic piece last year. I returned it and got a new one. Lesson learned.

I'll probably pick up the shop vac this year if I decide to make my stop at home depot.. I guess it depends on if I see something I want worse somewhere else.

The light with the tripod is a great deal but I hope you have a big garage because it gives out a lot of heat

After seeing that thread where the guy burnt down his garage/house because of his tripod lights, I will usually leave mine outdoors to cool down before I put it away in the garage. That thread scared me for good that's for sure!

wow, i am totally picking up one of those lights! i am in need of one and thats a great deal

the extreme heat you guys say it puts off is actually good for me, considering the time of year

you guys say they're not so great quality? for the price, though!

Are shop vacs with 5.0HP or greater power good for carpet and fabric seat extraction? I don't do interiors very often and when I do it's just do mats and spot stain removal. I use a bissell steam cleaner with Kids and Pets and the hose attachment to extract. Would a shop vac work better? What attachments do you use?
