Black F6 Typhoon

Great car mate

Yeah we have some tough cars here in OZ

Wish my Tickford (former name of FPV) AU XR6 VCT galaxy blue sedan had that kind of power

It's 182kw and 400nm

You thinking of coming along to 2006 FPV day, should be a ripper

Here it is at this years FPV day, has new 18" wheels on it now though

I switched from Souveran to Nattys Blue and I like Nattys better, plus it costs less! I have a black Suburban and an 03 vette. Try Nattys and see for yourself!

By my rough calculations 270kw is 367hp and 550nm is 405 ft/lb.

1 kw = 1.341 hp

1 nm = 0.7376 ft/lb

And that's out of a turbo'ed v6? WOW!!! What motor is it, is it the modular family like we get in the States? What about fuel economy? If GM can bring the Holden Manaro (I think it is) as the GTO over here and sell it, why cant Ford bring this car over? Thats making alot more power than our Mustang GT, or a BMW M3, Audi S4, Charger R/T, etc. What about suspension and brakes on that beast? Is it RWD?

Your car looks great and it sounds to me to be alot of fun to drive. Good Luck with it!

turbocharged six cylinders have been the heart of a lot of great sports cars... RIP Toyota Supra (twin turbo), 300 ZX (twin turbo), Grand national etc.

Soon, we will be getting a version of the Skyline in the states. OMG!

It's RWD, and the engine isnt used in any US-built car.

It won't be making its way there either, due to difficulties converting it to LHD according to what I've seen.

guys you should see the figures people are getting out of these engines when editing/reflashing the fuel/boost/ignition maps on the ECU !!

290-300kw at the wheels and 750-850nm are entirely possible using the standard turbo and pistons etc..

a Lot more if you start replacing injectors, intercoolers, manifolds etc

standard brakes are PBR i think, except the latest build has standard brembo 4 piston front and 1 piston rears, but you can get 6 piston front and 4 piston rears as an option

suspension according to the website (http://www.fpv.com.au/index.asp?link_id=2);

FPV's front double wishbone suspension. FPV's independent rear suspension with multi-link Control Blade (sedan only). A torque-sensitive limited slip differential and traction control, now available on all FPV models.
