Here's a 03 explorer that was badly swirled and marked up. The inside had various stains throughout. I don't have pics of the inside, I forgot :nixweiss . For the interior I sprayed it with AG carpet shampoo and brushed that in. Then sucked that up with my shop vac, sprayed some water down and sucked that up. All stains came out nicely :woot2: .

Exterior process

wash with PB

clay

OHC via PC @6 Yellow LC pad twice

OP via PC @6 orange LC pad

seal with WG DGPS

polish all crome

total time 8 hrs.

:wow: before you got to it, it looks like it's been washed with a brillo pad for years  !

Not far off. I think they used an imitation wool mitt for a couple of years

Just amazing. I still can't believe how some people can mess up a car's finish *that badly* in just a few short years.

I detailed a black 06 BMW 545i for a regular customer in the spring. Two months later he brought it back for a scuff or something and the whole car was swirled up again, I just about cried.

Wow, sweet work! I was considering buying some of that OHC seeing as Menzerna IP fell short on me on my last detail and took waaayyy to many passes to remove the swirls, not to mention the dusting. With that picture of the door with half and half, is that after one pass of OHC? Thanks.

I think it was after 2 passes  . I really like how well OHC finishes out too. I think you get more cut with SSR 3 but you get a lot of hazing too, requiering another polishing step. With OHC you get a long work time with no dusting :spot .

Thanks, I'll definitely pick up some of the Hyper. Once again great job on the Explorer.

wow.

This gives me a spark of hope of what I will have to do to my Nightshadow Blue camry.. Waiting for my 4" pads to come in the mail :)

Nice work! Amazing transformation there.

When people talk about 2 passes or 3...does that mean they go over the same area 2 times or does it mean they work the polish in and then apply more polish and work that in?

Thanks

Yes, it means the polish is worked in untill it's done it's job then more polish is applied and thourghly worked. If you have to apply more polish you don't have to wipe off the previous polish, just go right over it.

Steve Marshall "President's Award"? Dealerships get awards for rotary swirls now? :LOLOL

Excellent work, that had some nasty halo and rotary swirls in it. Looks superb in the afters. :up
