Nice save , black trucks are fun aren`t they? B) .

What did you end up using on the paint to polish and how many approx. man hrs?
 
HD Polish+ on orange buff and shine pad. I did spot compounding on deeper isolated scratches with 3d AAT 501 and megs MF cut pad. I spread it out in 3 days, maybe 20-25 hours? stopped keeping count after 2nd day lol
 
I know, that beast would have taken me just as long ,plus trying to maneuver around it when it can barely fit width wise in a standard garage .

i was scared the camper wouldnt fit inside the garage so i did it early in the morning when i still had shade. rushed a little bit and didnt get enough scratches out, plus bed was repainted and clear was harder then the cab too.

things you have to do when you dont have a shop :mellow:
 
I was always worried about that cause I used to maintain a tall and large suv that barely cleared, so my solution for peace of mind in the future was to simply measure height capacity for my garage entrance and memorize it . Now I know what will and won`t fit anytime I quote.

I also plan on removing all shelves from the sides and replace with wall peg panels to increase width space a few inches since I occasionally put two of my cars in there .

I can see why you are/were beat after that!
