Black Carrera GT

This car has less than 400 miles and some light DISO. Sorry about the lack of before and during pics but I was on a tight schedule. Anyway, here are the limited afters I have:

Looks mean from the front. Low and wide.

Half the car is engine!

Love the curves on the front fender and hood.

The customer got in the car before I took these pictures and got some dirt on the mats and sills...oh well.

Thanks! The car really is amazing. I actually drove it for a couple blocks before I started. I never went over 10mph and it was still fun! The sounds that come out of that machine are right out of Le-mans.

looks GREAT man. i was going crazy when i got to sit in a G35 the other day but wow this I could never imagine even standing 5 feet from it. you're very lucky.

Agree, we have quite a few running around hear and the sound is just insane, like straight out of a Le-Mans or F1 race. Where my office is, theres a house behind us that always has a CGT, Murci, Gallardo and Rover (forget the Rover). And I've never seen an older person/parent at the house. The kids look like that, just teens and you hear them taking off in those cars every day. That CGT is friggen loud

Good work, next time try some Souveran or Natty's Blue on that black :2thumbs:

Wow, looks good.

I agree with Surfer, hit that with some Nattys and you'll have a customer for life. (not to mention the drool factor. NXT just isn't doing it jusice.

Nice work! Beautiful car...one of my all time faves.

I'm curious though: in test reports I've read it's been said that the GT's clutch is horrible to use in a stop and go environment. Like an on/off switch, VERY grabby and prone to stalling. I remember one article where the owner actually (and reluctantly) decided to sell his car because of this! How did you find the clutch?

Yeah, the clutch was not friendly. But what would you expect from a twin plate clutch being asked to hold 650HP day in and day out.

DSVWGLI: I know, these pics suck for a detailing site. I had two other cars to do that day and I only took some pics for the hell of it. The car really does come alive out in the sun. Much more depth and reflection than in the pics I have here. It was similar to the other click & brag that I posted of the 996. I just posted these as I thought people who rarely or never have a chance these might enjoy them.

Thanks for all the compliments though guys!

I've never seen that car. WOW! We've done GT3s, and 'lots' of C4S... but, oh my, that's sweet!

Nice work!

You are blessed that someone would entrust you with such an auto...

Jim

Thanks again guys. As far as the NXT goes, the customer saw another car that I did and asked for "the exact same thing". Well, who am I to argue? The car he saw had NXT so that's what the GT got. And like I said above, it really does come alive in the sun.

I also realized I never mentioned the process above. It was:

Megs #9 via PC with 8006 pad

Megs #7 via PC with 9006 pad

Megs NXT via PC with 9006 pad X 2

I know a lot of people don't like #9 but I really like it when the need arises. Which is rare, I know. On this car it had VERY light swirls and the paint was uber soft. I did a test spot on the hood and #9 took care of it. So I went with it! #9 kicks *** IMO when you have a case like that. I think it gets a bad rap from people not using it at the right time or expecting it to be something it's not.

Same here. Other than the car mags, I haven't seen one. Pretty damn cool!

I wish you had time to get some outside pics too. :(

that my good sir is just awesome.

I couldnt do that car since the urge to go to the nearest interstate ramp would be oh so tempting.. Just one run, and Id be in heaven.

I've seen 4 roll through my local porsche dealership, and even got to sit in one and start it up. It was ungodly cool.

Car looks great, what a machine!!!!!

FWIW, I would take NXT over Natty's any day of the week.

NXT over NB??? I think I've used my bottle of NXT twice. Our cars/trucks are white, black, silver, blue etc. NXT pales to NB on those.

IMO, once you prep the car correctly, the LSP is just icing on the cake. I think NXT absolutely blows Nattys out of the water in terms of looks and durability. IMO, if NXT(much like a lot of the Meguiars LSP's) was rebottled as some boutique super sealant it would be teh uber sealant!!!11 But because it is OTC and made by Meguiars, it suxors. Just my random thoughts.
