This is an older BMW (not sure what year) with heavy swirl marks. It looks like it was wiped with paper towels! or maybe Sandpaper!!!!

The paint was fairly soft and easy to correct...

(It was just paint polishing and sealant, not full detail.)

Process: (I did this car before I knew 105/205 even existed!)

Conventional Wash with Meg's Gold Class
Meg's Quick Clay
M01/PC/Orange pad
Meg's Speed Glaze/PC/White pad
Zaino AIO/PC/White pad
Z6 wipedown

Hey Bill,

Another great job I must say. Have you or do you have any videos of you doing your magic? I read posts all day trying to learn what you make look so easy. For me, a rookie in this auto detailing I tend to learn more from seeing videos or being there in person not from reading posts. Don't get me wrong I did take you guys up on buying a used hood from the junk yard and I am practicing but man like I said you ROCK! I have seen the videos from the geeky store but I would like to see how you do it. That is if you have the time. Anyways, take care and thanks for all the great posts.

Thanks Mike... I don't have any videos, but these write-ups are excellent and very comprehensive. (see links below) You should read each of these. Also, Todd has many tips for swirl removal and polishing; Maybe he'll chime in and give you some good direction...

No, by the time I was finished, the house was shading the car (afternoon sun)... Sometimes after a long day of polishing...... [To quote Larry, the Cable Guy] "I just ain't thinkin' real good!"

I have (seriously) scheduled details so I would finish in sunlight, if possible. I'm slightly sick in this maner, almost like the sun shots are the reward. Car looks great Bill :D

Excellent work on the BMW!

You really are a talented person when it comes to the art of polishing paint :)

i'm trying to get the wifes bimmer to look like that... what was your process and how long did it take you?.... nice turn around there.

It's been awhile since I did this car, but it seems like the total paint correction time was about 4 hours....
