Black Bentley Flying Spur

Thanks, Ferg. I appreciate the feedback.

I was just trying to think of several really high-end cars. Interesting fact about Lambo paint.

Eisonhulk- I take care of on a daily basis (Bentley 4door flying spur, 2door cont GT, and 2door Cont conv.) ( Aston Martin Vanquish, DB AR 1, DB5, DBS), Rolls Phantom 4 door, 2 door Drophead Coupe. Lambo Diablo and a Murcielago

So with this experience I can honestly tell you that Lambo's paint isn't anything to write home about. Infact, compared to the craftmanship of the other makes, the lambo just doesn't stack up.

Back to the work of Rick, the Spur looks amazing. The paint is so soft that it is easy to correct. But! jsut breathing on it can cause swirls. Seriously, if you wipe a towel wrong it can undo everything you have worked so hard on.

I have seen a lot of your C&B's and honestly I believe this is your best work. My hat is off to you.

I've probably viewed this thread a dozen times now since last year, and I still need to change my diaper at the 'after' shots. :D

tdekany- Thanks Thomas! It is an older thread which is why you probably missed it.

EisenHulk- For factory paint, I would have to say that Bentley's take the cake for having the nicest paint. I have done a few custom paint jobs that were pretty amazing as well. The Maybach I detailed a while back had some pretty nice paint too...

dmw2692004- Thanks Paul!

fergnation- You are right about Lambo's having crummy paint. A lot of exotics I have detailed in the past are hand painted and have lots of "factory" defects present. Usually the cars that you think would have the best paint, have the worst paint.

Thanks for the kind words!

VrooVroom- Ha, ha... :o Thanks! :D

Thanks, Rick. Judging by what I have read on here, I figured that you were going to say that Bentley's had the nicest paint.

EisenHulk- No problem. I wish all cars had quality paint like Benyleys!

wfedwar- I used to use this combo quite often back when I did this detail. Now they have come out with 106FA, which is almost identical to this combo. The lubes in 106FA are pretty identical to the lubes in FPII.
