Black Bentley Flying Spur

A huge thanks rick!

I knew it was soft, but how soft I was unsure. We are definatly going to be posting pics. I just hope we can take some outside shots.

Now we just have to get our bentley looking perfect like yours!

Rick - Great turn around on such a beautiful car. It's always a pleasure working on cars with little to no orange peel, the reflections are that much crisper and clearer. Congrats on a job well done.

Rick,

That is some incredible paint right there. Luckily the owner finally found an incredible detailer to go with his car!

Nice work on paint that was WELL worth the effort...

I missed this the first time around and I'm sure glad it came back to the top. Only one word comes to mind:

Slurp.

:D Awesome work on a beautiful car!

Beautiful. I'm interested in this:

Buffed complete exterior with 106ff/FP II mixture X 2 using a foam finishing pad

Is this something you use often? 50/50? Looks great.

Fantastic work on a fantastic paint! I did a Flying Spur a while back that had dog scratches on the door (amongst other things)...but the finished result was the same. Just the deepest black in the auto world.

This is my all time favorite picture of the finished door reflection

Greg Nichols- No problem Greg! I am looking forward to seeing the after pics.

George@DetailedImage- Thanks George. I agree that orange peel free paint is a pleasure to work on. Unfortunately, there are not too many Bentley's around this area.

Scottwax- Thanks Scott!

IanB- Thanks Ian. I appreciate the kind words...

karburn- No kidding! Bentley paint is by far, the deepest paint I have ever worked on.

Vroom Vroom- Thanks a lot!

Invigor- You got that right!

InfamousDX- Thanks!

Detail1- I'm not really sure Frank. I guess it all depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Reflections on Bentley paint are amazing, which is why I chose Zaino. I probably would have used some sort of carnauba if I wanted a wet-look.

wfedwar- Thanks! I would say my ratio was about 75% 106ff to 25% FPII. It really worked great and finished off nicely.

Totoland Mach- Wow Toto, those are some crazy reflections you got there! Thanks!

Fantastic work.

I'm straying a bit off topic here, but I have a question for the pros here. I hear you guys talking about how unbelievable Bentley paint is (Zero orange peel, etc). In your opinion, who has THE BEST paint? Bentley, Aston's, Lambos, etc?

Just a question from a guy who has yet to work on any of those.

Eisonhulk- I take care of on a daily basis (Bentley 4door flying spur, 2door cont GT, and 2door Cont conv.) ( Aston Martin Vanquish, DB AR 1, DB5, DBS), Rolls Phantom 4 door, 2 door Drophead Coupe. Lambo Diablo and a Murcielago

So with this experience I can honestly tell you that Lambo's paint isn't anything to write home about. Infact, compared to the craftmanship of the other makes, the lambo just doesn't stack up.

Back to the work of Rick, the Spur looks amazing. The paint is so soft that it is easy to correct. But! jsut breathing on it can cause swirls. Seriously, if you wipe a towel wrong it can undo everything you have worked so hard on.

I have seen a lot of your C&B's and honestly I believe this is your best work. My hat is off to you.
