Black Audi S4 hacked by the body shop

Absolutely great work on that hard Audi clear. The paint looks brand new and judging from the pics it looks 98% perfect.

Great job Rick... ESPECIALLY for a 2-step polish! That 105/UF is definitely a killer combo.

Thanks! M105 and Ultrafina are both great products, but like all products, they work well on ceratin paints and don't work well on others. Ever job is different and requires a bit of testing to find out the best process before tackling the entire car. This combo definitely worked great on this Audi.

The purpose of the solvent wipe down after the claying process is to remove any oils, wax or silicone that may be embedded in the paint which can interfere with the polishing process. I prefer to have a perfectly clean surface, free of any silicones, etc. before starting to ensure the polishing goes as smooth as possible. This 5 minute step can save you hours of time .

Poor car. Knowing the results that you're capable of delivering....I honestly dont think I could give you a car and NOT let you go nuts on it....even if it was being traded the very same day! You're work is among the best there is. Thanks for continuing to post it as I definitely enjoy reading your C&Bs.
 
Rick, would one have to sign up for that detail day at HMS? Also, do you have a shop or are you mobile? And, do you have a Steam Cleaner? PM me if you want.

I will do a mobile job once in a while, but only if it worth my while. I like detailing out of my shop because everything is just a few foot-steps away. I have a heated extractor if that's what you mean, but it's in the shop getting repaired.

Thanks! Yes, 105 works well, but only on certain paints and Ultrafina is my favorite finishing polish by far. This combo worked wonders on this Audi for just a 2-step process. I have been using the CMW more and more lately and really liking it. It looks great on black and doesn't leave any haze or oils on the paint after wiping off like other nubas. Great stuff.

Very good idea.



A few of my customers tape a piece of paper on both side windows that say "DO NOT WASH" in both spanish and english.
