Black 240sx - Worse condition paint I've ever seen

Hey, you have my old car there! I used a steel snow brush to get that pesky ice and snow off the car. I like to think of it as the brushed look, lol. Seriously that paint was trashed, a big improvement already. Great work!

I've only seen one vehicle that bad in my life. I couldn't get it totally swirl free, but the honda paint was a champ and cut down pretty nice.

Looking froward for some afters!!! I'm all for putting it in the extreme detail section....or heck...even making it a sticky of some sort, just because of the "d@mn" factor of it

Yeah me too lol. Hopefully I'll finish it later this week. Might be detailing my lady's new bike on my day off though..

I had to send this link to a few friends that always ask me 'what are these swirls you are always whining about'... hard to miss them in this thread. That car is just brutal. Looking forward to the rest of the after pics!

WOW...that is awful...I guess I can ask this question here...

I just picked up a new 240sx project car...pretty straight body, two problematic rust/body rot spots on the rocker panels that I'll be fixing, and no working engine. It is a 1990 hatchback, white paint. Now my question: Is 1990 Nissan white a single stage paint? My new 240sx is oxidized and swirled, and I was actually hoping for single stage. Can anyone confirm this? Look out for a thread where I ask what products to use when I actually find out the paint attributes. Thanks in advance, and sorry to jack the thread, but good luck. In this for later.

To my knowledge, I don't think S13s were single stage, but just like RX7s, some colours may very well be.

Got a chance to try out the wool today on the hood.

Top part was done last time with High Temp Extreme Cut on a orange cutting pad on rotary on the top, bottom is just after wool
