Grrr!!
hey guys and gals...it's been a very long time since I've been on. Hope you are all well on this beautiful Memorial Day.
My car had been in need of a good washing/waxing for about two weeks. Last week (monday-ish) I noticed some bird droppings on the hood of my car near the windshield. The weather here (MI) hadn't been satisfactory to wash my car and I didnt have the time to get to it. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I realize now I should have driven to the quarter car wash and powerwashed the spots off but alas, I didnt. So today when I was washing, I got the droppings off, but the splatter marks were left over. Drat!
I washed the car really good and hit the spots with detailer and the splat marks stayed the same. Like they're burned into the paint or something. I ran my finger over them to see if I could feel anything and the marks felt as smooth as the car. What gives?
I should note that the droppings sat in the sun for a day or two.
Is there anything I can do?
I took a few pictures but they don't show the imperfection very well...so hopefully you guys know what I'm talking about. If need be, I can post the pics.
thanks,
-wes
