bird drop polish?

One more question.

I recently got a bird drop on my hood. I noticed it too late, unfortunately.

It etched the clearcoat. I took very fine compound and gently polished it two times.

Results are very good but in sun I can see a polish mark (like spot from sanding) on hood?

How to get rid of that?

In general, I would avoid spot polishing by hand if you can help it. I always polish the whole (or most) of the panel when something needs to be polished out. Since you were concentrating on one very small spot, you reduced the clear in that one spot compared to the surrounding area. Hopefully, you didn't break through the clearcoat, and just left some marring behind. If it's just marring, polishing with some less aggressive methods should get it out.

Can you post pictures of the spot you are talking about? Before polishing more, I'd like to make sure you didn't break through the clear.

I am pretty sure I didn't break through my clearcoat.

Tommorow I will post a shot of that and give a name of compound.

It's pretty late for that activities now:)

I polished that spot on hood yesterday and today in high sun, it's not that much visible.

I don't have camera now to show you.

Anyway...product I used is Italian: GELSON fine compound
