Autopians...I need some hot advise.
My brand spanking new Volvo S60 is an outside sleeper Ono choice to put in garage). I have had problems with Bird bombs from a nearby tree (I am having branches cut down but cannot come quick enough).
The new car has no protection (other than one coat of Gold Class wax) applied two weeks ago. I have not done any other polishing because the dealer suggested I allow 6 month for the paint to cure before any polishing.
q1. I have had some leftover etching as a result of the few bird bombs I removed (even though they were removed very quickly). I tried getting them off with the only polish I had at the time (EO wet polish/wax) and it did not do squat. What can I get that is not too harsh on a virgin paint job (4 month since manufacture) but good enough to remove the etching?
q2. is this paint cure time recommended by the dealer legit? or is it another dealer myth?
merci beaucoup! in advance
