Hey all,

My car group is looking to run a carwash in a parking lot to raise some money for chairity. The problem is that in calgary using any non biodegradeable soap and having it run into city sewers means on heck of a ticket. Where should I look for such a soap in a larger quantity?

Hey. You might want to look into the law more carefully. I suspect it is more than whether or not the soap is biodegradable, or at least that's what I was told.

hye justin have fun getting a hige ticket. It dosnet matter the soap you use, anything down the drain in a 500 buck fine. I think your going to hve to re think the qhole car was thing.

Meguiar’s #54, Wolfgang Auto Bathe, Poorboy's and Optimum Car Wash are all biodegradable. :) Good luck at your car wash.

Well I will have to get one of the guys to phone the city again and just confirm, but from the first chat he had with them they seemed to be ok with it.....Who knows with this city :S Thanks for the ideas all.

Getting back to this really late but Canadian Tire sells the meguiar's boat wash, but heres the thing YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO LET ANYTHING BESIDES WATER RUN DOWN THE STORM SEWER. If you don't believe me call 311...I am assuming your in Calgary?

thnkx sneek, thats actully my bussiness partner and he figured it all out, but hes the owner of a coin wash so everything is ok. So just out of curoisty what do you do? I know i used to break the law and now i use the wash as we are starting up a bussiness there (we have cards and everything lol).
