Today my BlackFire Midnight Sun arrived. It comes in a special bag with an applicator pad. Impressive!
First, thanks to this Forum for having the Kahuna event!
I immediately ran out to give it a try. I decided to put it on by hand because it was a paste wax and I have not tried this application method. Such a nice wax was worthy of a new method.
I am extremely impressed. My current wax is Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Wax. Midnight Sun is slightly different and it hard to explain how. A little more depth? - I was trying to compare different sections of the car as I did it. The difference seems to be something in the way light is reflected. Again, hard to describe, very subtle, I like both waxes, but my initial reaction is that I like the look of the Midnight Sun more.
Maybe the paste vs a liquid has something to do with it. Also the liquid wax has already been on for a couple weeks so may not be at it "freshest" so the comparison is not fair.
As for applying by hand - I really like this method A LOT! It is slower but a lot more enjoyable.
