Very nice meticulous work there! Really shows that you have taken the time to do it right, and save yourself some cleanup in the process. Well done!

Sweet! That's another one of those details that demands a test drive to make sure you've got the finish slick enough. ;)

That looks awesome, good work. I don't know why, but I prefer the non-911 Porsches better! They're kinda quirky, and I like it.

Beautiful, perfect, stunning save; unbelievable clarity !!!

I really like how you treated the Leather too !! Looks beautiful !

Client had to be given Oxygen to prevent hyperventilating, right ? :)

Awesome write up and pictures !

Thanks for sharing !

Nice turn around on the car. You saved the customer quite a bit of money on restoring the paint to the level that you did. A body shop would have tried to sell him a repaint for sure.

Beautiful work. That turned out really nice. Love the final spoiler shot!
thank you very much.!! the spolier made me sweat & bite my fingers more than the rest of the job heh!! i didnt know it was single stage till the wetsanding slurry bled black! oh well, the show must go on! i was extra carefull with the spolier. i used dead 2,500...just enough to get the job done. funny thing...when the customer picked her up he said most people just paint that to color match with the rest of the car. i tell him with a smile, "well now you have the shineiest spolier out there" lol...

he was very happy with the job but we both were dissapponted with ol man weather. the car had to be picked up on that day bc he was leaving for vacation. i wish the sun was out so i couldve gotten better pics. i wish it wasnt drizzling out too! by the time i pulled the porsche down my driveway i had already made the guy stand around for a few mins as i tried to take some good front shots. he went for the drivers door, shook my hand, said thanks & i couldnt get some nice rear shots. my mf towels were already wet, oh well!
the car really did look great & yes the wetsanding came out mint.
notice the plastic & paper masking skills from the body shop? lol?
thank you!

Nice job! That was a big turn around for the Porsche.
thanks man!

Excellent work, great write up and good photos, nice job!
thank you eddie. i try to take pics that show whats going on.
glad you enjoyed the writeup.

oh the prep work? i used to do that on the daily along with wetsanding back in my early bodyshop days. if i told you i dont miss the body shop i would be lying to ya. ;)
thanks!

well mb if the ground wasnt as slick as the paint from the drizzle lol? i dont really drive these cars, maybe 3rd gear if im lucky. theres a 3 way stop sign triangle on the end of my block. i take that to drive the car in on an angle so they dont rub. it felt nice to shift those sexy gears but even if i wanted a ride, i wouldnt ask. once im done with a car i want it to leave so i can get paid lol.
thanks!

WOW what a turn around you saved that from a repaint
thanks patrick.

thank you CH!

lol thank you very much dan. the customer had a smile from ear to ear! i told him to come back in a few months for a lil fresh coat of wax. i think he just bought it but hes putting her away in the garage for the rest of the winter.

Killer job Andrew! Really nice save on that Porsche.
thank you mike.

thanks alot. the rest of the car was pretty mint just the hood, roof & spolier really needed some wetsanding.

Great job Big A! That looks a million times better, those are cool cars to begin with !

thank you todd. not sure if this is a factory color? mb someone else can chime in about that? i found what appears to be "plenty" of "non factory" paintwork but you wouldnt know it unless i told ya. ;)

thanks everyone for the luv but i must get back to work now.
:)

I noticed your tape ups. I do the same. Wetsanding and the following steps can make a mess. Plus the
extra security while sanding helps.
Very nice work.

thanks john! i finished claying & taping then took out the plastic body wrap & some brown paper. i gotta get a masking holder & bolt it to the wall! i miss the rolls of paper with the edge of masking tape! saves alot of time with the prep work! its best to take care of the wetsanding first. after that was done i take the plastic off & went onto polishing the rest of her. the interior was done the day before. the plastic also cuts out having to wash the car again. we both know how messy wetsanded clear coat drippies are to clean up.;)

thanks again!
