thanks john! yes, the paint is not as crystal clear as i wouldve liked it to polish out but it is what it is. all of the swirls & water stains were removed with just a few deep scratches here & there remaining. i couldve wetsanded them but that was not part of the job.the stang was very rough when she came in.Nice work! I've noticed these years have very heavy pitting and acid rain etching even brand new. Even the peel is pretty heavy. You made it look 100% better.
i saw the car about a month before & almost cried when it was taken in for the detail. ok i didnt cry but the reward after the job was well worth the battle! you know when you look at a job & then you kind of forget about it till you see the car again!
oh yes, about the peel...very heavy on the peel for sure!
actually i think i was more excited about the job than the customer!Wow, that looks like a brand new car now. I wish I could have seen the look on the customer's face!
its ok, he hasnt come back but its cool...mb i will see him again this summer for another "makeover" lol. it can be depressing when you feel your work was not appreciated but its ok, i paid some bills with this one!
thank youBeautiful work!! Very nice save.
thanks steve!that thing was a hot mess. great save
thanks jeff! ok cali talk, this stang was hammered! Those 50/50's tell it like it is.... When the photos are clear and focused and have documentation like that, NOT having sun shots isn't a big deal. Great work on a car that was just salvaged!*
*CA speak.... translation = hammered, bitten off, destroyed, f-ed up, etc.....
nyc talk = bomb job :lmfao
thank you!Awesome work on the Black Mustang. Sweet!
thanks bunky.Great work. The side by sides are really nice.
if the paint wasnt still pitted & if i wouldve been able to get her more crystal clear during compounding then i wouldve thought about a last round with the 3M UF. i was very happy with the results after m205 & i didnt want to mess with her much. i figured it was ready for some wax. i had done all i could do for the paint besides a lil wetsanding. swirls & holograms were out, stains were out, looked great under 1000 & 2000w of halogen so yea, she was ready for some wax after 2 steps. on the last day when the car was finished the sun wasnt really out. i figured i would get the tops (hood, roof, trunk & spoiler) perfect under 2000w & i would cover myself for when the customer saw her under direct sun the next time she was out.great work
I see you finish a lot with 3m ultrafina. but this time you went with m205
any reason why?
I can't seem to finish black to a high gloss with 205
thanks
Big A skills! wow amazing save:yourrock
thanks j!
thanks angelo. yea, i have other wild detaling adventures to share with all of you haha. i dont get the easy jobs! i have alot of work i need to get off the computer!Great work always coming from you Big A, keep them coming:rockon
hey thanks dave! can you save an exotic for me sometime? geezzz lol.Very nice turnaround
i luv the work that you do on the other side of the bridge.

thanks todd!Great job Andrew!
thanks dan! i remember when i first started using the halogens i would use duct tape to put a light on the top of a ladder. then came the cheapies from the local hd, then came this light pole that i wouldnt want to work without! lol. maybe i will find some time to build a better one but as an old boss once told me "if it aint broke, dont fix it"...Big A ---
Wow, was that black paint a trainwreck or what ????
Looks from the clear reflections that your custom lightpole worked great for this too.
Another awesome, beautiful, perfect, Rotary Power job !!!
Looks like this took some time, my friend ! Glad that it turned out so beautiful !
the only lights i dream about now are some double arm loading lock fixtures with maybe metal halide instead of halogen light. in my wildest imagination i would have 4 double arm dock lights around the car. trunk, hood & one for each side. the arms can really come in handy!
lol thanks!Very nice work on some jacked up paint. The amount of peel on that car looks like it was painted with a roller.
thanks! luv my good ol reliable dewalt. gives me a good workout. still like to use her for heavy compounding but honestly...i havent used her much recently. the makita takes up most of my time. the itch for the new dewalt is really under my thumb right now!Awesome use of the Dewalt. That paint was horrible before. Thank You for sharing
thanks for all of the feedback.

my lunch should be here soon so i gotta go! nom! nom!
