I apologize for the late reply to your email as I was traveling and only just returned. I am personally looking into your order and will report back to you shortly. A few months ago we moved all our warehousing and shipping to an outside warehouse who performed very poorly. About 80% of all orders shipped in a timely manner but the remaining were either totally ignored or were marked as shipped in the system but never were. I fear your order was one of the 20%. We've moved our shipping back in house but it's taking a little while to catch up on all the errors committed by this independent shipper.

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and, I promise, you will hear back from me very shortly.

It's nice to see Leo is able to travel and attend car shows on other peoples hard earned money, while failing to deliver what the people paid him for. :wall

business men usually have internet on their phone, so with that being said.. it should only take a few minutes to reply to a "customers" important question. it looks like one excuse after another... :down

I agree and it will be nice to see his business shut down to stop this clown from ripping off more people.

I've just submitted a request to the BBB to check out this company. Leo, I hope you're reading.

DF Towel, aka

DF Concours

RD 1876

Muttontown, NY 11791

Here's the empire: Cerruti Design Studio / Dominique France

I wonder if all those market segments get the same crappy CS? I like the excuse that this is some kind of new problem he's having, when there was that lengthy thread a year ago, and I had this problem 2 years ago (finally got my order, after listening to a few lies).

Here's the testimonials page: DF Concours products

Think he'll put some of our stories up?

EDIT: Oh, and here's his car show schedule DF Concours - Car shows , be sure to check that frequently for a chance to meet Leo in person and discuss his great customer service! Looks like we just missed him this past Sunday.

I can't believe this guy is still in business. How pathetic. Has he ever done anything that gives him a good reputation. All I read is bad news.

I can't believe this guy has not gotten his a$$ beat yet. LOL

His "show" car is for sale. How an almost bone stock late model Lincoln is a show car I'll never understand. 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC for sale

If anyone wanted to talk to him his address is listed under his site registry.

To be fair, Leo was a frequent and valued contributor here at one time, and I recall no complaints about his CS. I don't know what happened, but if he was the last detailing towel supplier on earth...I'd be buying Bounty or using shop rags!

I'm just glad I stopped selling his stuff when I did! LOL

Thanks for making us aware of this situation. I hope you eventually get your money back.

They just lost another (potential) customer. :)

+1 and sorry to hear things turned out so poorly for you

Now, now, Setec, where else are we going to get our Brazilian MF's from?

My last order from DFT was back in September 2008 and he had the "shipping" problems back then, although it only took one e-mail to get my order.

I hate to loose a vendor that, as Setec said, was once a frequent and valued contributor but there just isn't any excuse for this poor level of CS. I wouldn't be surprised to see his website disappear before long.

im another unhappy customer of his from 2008...he was slow on shipping, rude and baneed me from ever buying from him again because i complained about his customer service

and his towels suck...i wasted almost 100 bux on his crap

I've only had a problem of this magnitude twice before, but luckily the credit card I used in both cases was American Express. From my own experience, Amex goes to bat for you like a team of pit bulls. They immediately told me not to pay for the charge and that they'd get back to me within 6 weeks after they launched an investigation into the vendor. Both times they ruled in my favor, sending me a letter, apologizing on behalf of the vendor and removed all charges associated with my complaint. Needless to say, I'm a big believer in using Amex for any online purchases. Now THEY have customer service. I hope that works out for you eventually...Carmine

Almost all credit cards do this. But some have a time limit which is the bad part. When the guy tells you they are shipping by the time you figure out he's a con the time might be up.

Same here, I had major issues getting product from him. It took weeks to get a distributor order. I talked to another distributor and they were actually just a few miles away and could not go over and pick up their order. Admittedly I was not ordering massive large quantities, but I ended up refunding several orders and sent other MF towels to them as a goodwill gesture.

I am surprised he is still in business, plus I was not impressed with the latest generation of towels. I still use gen 1 and Gen 2, but won't use Gen 3 on my paint.

It's ashame as he had a great product at one point. Seems once his original mill went out of business it has been nothing but trouble.

I can't believe this scumbag is still ripping people off ?

Unbelievable.

Same exact crap he was pulling two years ago. First and only time I ever had to file a complaint with a credit card company. You would think that DF would be on a ban list with all the banks or something.

Definitely go ahead and dispute the charge with your credit card company. A lot less hassle, and they are generally very good about issuing you credits and fighting on your behalf.
