I see what spot on the wheels you are talking about. Have you tried a bug and tar remover or APC ???

I dont have APC and i guess i will try a bug and tar remover. That area in the corner is hard to get to. I need like a strong SS brush, but that will ruin my wheels.

should i get megs wheel brightner? i want really strong stuff that will remove that grime and alot tougher than instore products.

That stuff sounds scary. Here's the directions from:

http://www.hydro-zoneinc.com/ftp@hy... aluminum stainless steel clnr (05-04-04).pdf

USE EXTREME CAUTION! NOT TO BE USED BY

AMATEURS. Protective clothing (including, but not necessarily

limited to: apron, goggles, respirators, mask, face shield, gauntlet

gloves, boots) is required when using this product.

DO NOT USE ON THE FOLLOWING SURFACES:

Bright aluminum or bright stainless steel, chrome, zinc, galvanized

metal, tin, or magnesium. May produce etch to glass. To prevent, keep

glass wet or cover the glass with a light coat of grease.

Dilute with water as follows:

Spray equipment: 1:50. Increase 1:40 in winter. Best results

obtainable using hot water (140°F.)

Manual equipment: Use natural bristle brush. Do small area at a

time. Thoroughly rinse off acid with clean water.

Apply by brushing or wet spraying BOTTOM TO TOP in panels or

sections. DO NOT inhale or work in spray. DO NOT allow to dry on

surface. Rinse the surface before it dries. Rinse any area that has been

hit by overspray or mist. Overlay the edge of the old panel cleaned as

you clean the new panel.

so i guess im getting the megs wheel brightner. is it as strong as the JD alum cleaner? And with all these products to clean the wheels, i need a strong scrubber to scrub the grime off, so what do i use?

ok will try it

make sure to use the proper dilution (4:1 worked more than enough, ime) and on the proper wheels. if you use a spoke brush, i would suggest wearing eye protection, you DO NOT want to get this stuff in your eyes...
