Best way to care for newly painted old car

What is the best treatment (brands) for new paint (single stage red). After it cures for a couple of months. I plan to hand rub since vehicle is small. (1991 Miata) Something fairly simple but that will help the paint to last and shine. I do not mind doing this often but do not want to spend the day doing it. It is a daily driver.

Thanks

tabasco- Welcome to Autopia. Since you're gonna wait until the paint is cured, you can use most any combination of penultimate and last step products. You shouldn't need any real "polish" since the new paint shouldn't have any marring.

Ideas include: VM with a wax topper (maybe Souveran), Meg's #7 topped with #16, 1Z WaxPolishSoft topped with something, and then there's always the Zaino approach.

Just be careful that you don't mar that nice new paint ;)

If you want to drive it before the paint is cured I'd put some Meg's #5 on it or maybe some 3M IHG.
