Best wax for white paint?

Hmmm. Clearkote's Carnuba Moose dries darked than S100, but not by much...although my older son preferred to use CMW over S100 on light colors specifically because it was easier for him to see where he had applied it.

Are there any decent products that dry darker so that it can easily be seen on white paint for removal?

You could always use that Turtle Wax colored wax. A nice black coat of Turle Wax should be easy to see.:D Just joking.

That's about the only complaint I have with the S100. You put it on in such a thin coat, on a white vehicle it's very hard to see. I used it on my black Mustang and it was easy to see, but on my white Navigator I find myself going over areas many times to make sure I have a coat of wax on.

Yeah, I got an earful of that this summer from my older boy.

Its just part of the problem in owning a light colored car. Everything is more difficult to see. However, I will say that after working on a white car so much (my own) it is much easier for me to get the product off any other color of vehicle. When I get a white car to wax I never worry about if I am getting it all off. I've done it so many times that its pretty easy now.

With all our silver vehicles, I sorta face the same thing. I find fogging the surface with my breath lets me see what is/isn't there. Works better under some conditions than others...

I use a flashlight, if you are in the garage turn the lights off and shine a flashlight at an angle over the surface and you can see where it is shiney and where is is dull

Zaino produces a blinding glare on white vehicles. Nearly imposssible to see when applying though. Everything is hard to see on a white car including waxes, scratches and swirls.... ;) .

I too have a white vehicle, and I find it hard to see the Griot's Best Of Show wax when I take it off.

Sometimes the next day I will notice a small patch I forgot to buff harder, as the BOS is kind of hard to get off in the first place, but man, BOS really makes a white rig blinding to look at.

The above pic was from Arpil when I last waxed it with the BOS and Porter Cable.

I have a white Silverado. It is difficult to see where you have applied and where you have/have not wiped off so I have to be very process oriented.

That is I have to do everything very methodically thinking about each movement on each panel taking mental note of what area I'm covering with the cloth and making sure I overlap that area when I move on to the next area.

I''m to the point now where it's easy to do and I don't use visual cues to wipe on or off so much as I use the process method wiping one approximately 2 ft x 2 ft area horizontally and then vertically (or visa/versa). I believe that this is the way cleaning/waxing/sealing should be done anyway so having a difficult to see situation actually lends itself to inducing me to do a better job. The white truck really brings out the deep-rooted, highly anal, methodical-to-the-point-of-making-my-wife-scream, me. :) I find it very calming to get that deeply involved in the process giving it my full attention.
